cropduster First two seeds germinated within 48hrs in paper towel inside a baggie on a heat pad. I planted both of them in Gaia Green living soil with 25% worm castings and pre mixed all purpose and bloom nutrients into the soil. Both seeds seemed to grow slowly once emerged. After 5 days I pulled one because it had died. I dont think the seedlings liked the beefed up soil. I started another seed. This time I scooped out a solo cup sized hole and added seed starter mix to fill it. I planted the seed in the plain mix. This one come up looking much healthier. it will grow into the nutrients as it matures.

cropduster Just watering the ladies so far. PH level of the water is 6.5 Been having trouble regulating heat and humidity. Its fluctuating between 21C and 29C and 40% and 78% humidity. Been putting fan on them for a couple hours per day to strengthen stems.

cropduster Had a lot of growth this week. Things are looking good. I did a deep watering a couple days ago, about 1 litre per plant at 6.5 ph. Water came out the bottom. I am brewing a compost tea today and will deep water with that tomorrow. I used a cup of my own compost, 1/3 cup worm castings, 1 tbsp alfalfa meal, 1 tbsp kelp meal, 1/2 tbsp mixed minerals and 1 tbsp of organic molasses. Water ph was 6 and is airated with an aquarium pump. My environment has been more stable this week. I didnt grow this strain this summer and miss it. I grew Black Domlna, Kushy Kush, Ultra killer and Critical killer. Got about 2lbs dry from outdoor grow.

cropduster I fed my ladies some compost tea at the start of the week. I fed this from the top and from the bottom to make sure all the roots benifit from it. I have been doing some leaf tucking and defoliating on the left plant to expose the bud sites. 4 days after compost tea I watered again. I used approx 1 1/2 - 2 litres per plant and watered from top and bottom just to make sure those long roots find water. I may top dress at the end of the week since Gai Green recommends feeding every 4 weeks. I will likely use 50/50 veg/bloom with some worm castings. That should take me to week 7 or 8. I raised my light a few inches to promote some stretch and reduce heat. Cheers and happy growing.

cropduster Pretty uneventful week. I only watered once since last weekend and no extra nutrients (just whats in soil) I noticed the tips of the new growth were clawing a bit, which i determined was high nitrogen. Thats why i added no nutrients. Humidity seems to be holding around 50% without humidifier so i turned it off to see how plants react. The two plants look totally different despite being the same seeds. Started to see some small pistils here and there. Decided to LST the plant on tne left. The main stem started to take off so I bent it down below the canopy. Still tucking leaves and some minor defoliation. Might hold off on topdressing this week and keep an eye on new growth. The Gaia Green soil had nutes in it and i added a good amount in addition. I havent added any cal mag yet. I see some growers add it religiously but i figured i would wait until i see signs of deficiencies or when she flowers. See you all next week 👍

cropduster Its been a good week for the ladies. Looks like shes beginning to flower 😘 They were top dressed this week with Gaia Green power bloom. Shes been drinking more this week, about 1/2 litre per day. The plant on the right got some calmag as well. The plant on the right started to spring up fast so i bent it down to the canopy and tied a few more branches down as well to equal the other plant. This way all the bud sites are at the same light intensity. The plant on the left is growing a lot of leaves so I have been defoliating daily to keep the bud sites open to the light. Looking forward to the coming weeks, the exciting stretch. Happy growing!

cropduster Had some decent growth this week, both in heght and bud structure. No extra nutes this week just watered. Seems to be ok at 1/2 litre a day for now. I suspect they may need more in the upcoming weeks but the ladies will tell me. The left plant needed a lot of defoliating again this week. She just keeps pumping out leaves. Overall everything looks good. I have never used chems to grow weed so I dont know how organics stack up. I do know that the smoke is so much more enjoyable with a lot less coughing. Have a nice week friends!

cropduster Ladies are filling up the tent. Hopefully they have enough room to fill out. Might have to invest in a larger system, maybe a 3x3 or 4x4. Humidity has risen this week due to larger plants and frequency of watering. They are drinking about .75 l per day now. I added some cal mag with one of my waterings this week. Trichomb production is ramping up and the ladies are starting to smell good! I have been running the lights at 80% of max. So far so good, happy growing.

cropduster Not much change this week. The lady on the left grew about 3" and the other lady is content on just growing that bud. They are drinking about 750ml per day. I gave them calmag with one of their waterings. The lady on the left keeps putting on leaves and I keep thinning her out. She is so dense. Things continue to get cramped in the tent :(.

Power Bloom - Gaia Green
Power Bloom 3.91 mll
cropduster Its been weird week. I expected to see the ladies start to fatten up. Insted, it looks like they wanted to stretch a bit more. The colas are long (about 8-12"") but not really growing in diameter. I fed the ladies bloom formula on week 4 but the leaf colour is still dark green. This could be because of the extra 444 and worm castings i added to the living soil. It could be prioritizing rapid leaf growth over bud production because of the extra nitrogen. Potatoes, tomatoes and peppers react in a similar manner. One year i had 3-4 lush green growth on my potatoes and thought i was in for a bumper crop but i was really dissapointed in tuber production that year. The lady on the left recieved cal mag and a quarter cup of power bloom yesterday because she looks like she is a week or so behind the other plant. We will see what happens. I also thought that maybe the lights were not sufficient and they were stretching to get more light. I moved the light 3 inches closer to fix this. I also put a box under the shorter plant so that it was closer to the taller plant so they are getting equal light. I am still removing lots of leaves every week. If someone knows if i should be be removing more, please let me know. I know the plants use them like solar panels that collect energy. I am afraid if i take too much off they will lose the energy to produce buds. I also dont want them to put energy into leaf growth. They are still sucking back water at a rate of almost a litre a day. I gave them a feeding of calmag once a week. We will see if my changes help. Have a nice week friends.
