MrJac_GHZMono Welcome to my first grow diary! I've grown before, but this is the first time I'm sharing a grow, as I'm really interested in what can come from an autoflowering plant with pruning. I chose the FastBud bank for its speed and yield; it's a Zkittlez Auto. The idea for this grow is to maximize the yield from an autoflowering plant, giving it the proper care for the stress we’re going to put it through, which is apical pruning. I placed a seed to germinate, which sprouted in 3 days. I planted the germinated seed in a 0.5-liter pot with Micoroot and sprayed it with water at pH 5.5 using Deep Underground. By the 4th day, the seedling was already strong and vigorous. Once the root fills the 0.5-liter pot, it will be transplanted to its final 40-liter pot, applying apical pruning. It will be given a light cycle of 18 hours of light and 6 hours of darkness throughout the grow.

MrJac_GHZMono 11/03/2019 (Day 7) starts its 2nd week, still growing, the true leaves are coming out, soon we'll move it to its final pot and start the pruning stress. It's still being watered with rooting agent. After transplanting, we will start using growth stimulant. 14/03/2019 (Day 10) Watered for the last time in a 0.5L pot with rooting agent and growth stimulant, preparing it for the first stress, which will be the transplant to its final pot. 16/03/2019 (Day 12) Transplanted to the final pot using MicoRoot to help the roots continue growing and watered with 1L of water at pH 5.7 with rooting agent and Growth Stimulant. 17/03/2019 (Day 13) You can see the change from the pot, it's settling in, in 2 or 3 more days we'll water again, at which point we'll start using Top Veg, we'll stop using the rooting agent (Deep Underground) and the growth stimulant (Green Explosion) to then use them again together with Top Veg in the 4th week. 2nd Week ends.

MrJac_GHZMono This week, the Main Lining technique was applied on day 26 of growth, and it was watered with Green Explosion to help with the stress, which it handled well. It has already bent towards the light and raised its leaves. The two central branches that remained after pruning are showing the 3rd bud, which indicates that we will need to prune again soon to end up with 4 central branches. The Zkittlez is a nutrient and water-demanding plant, which makes it a strong plant that will grow without issues as it absorbs fertilizers without the risk of over-fertilization.

MrJac_GHZMono The 5th week starts on 04/01/2019, this is the 3rd day since applying the Main Lining technique, the plant reacted well to the stress, as it is reaching for the light and showing vigor. This week it will be watered again with Top Veg, Green Explosion, and Deep Underground rooting agent will also be added to continue helping the roots grow and to absorb dead roots as nutrients.

MrJac_GHZMono This week it started showing its first pre-flowers, it has handled the stress well and is still strong, reaching for light. From the part we took from the plant, we tried to make a cutting which has rooted and is now in a pot waiting to gain strength and grow as well.

MrJac_GHZMono The start of this week has been excellent, the girls are strong growing their flowers, I'll add Top Bloom and together with Big One, it will make them keep creating more flowers before starting to fatten up.

MrJac_GHZMono This week, this genetic variety continues to surprise us. Honestly, we thought that stressing the plants the way we did wouldn't be that good, but it's actually giving us better results than we expected. Anyway, it ended up shorter but with buds all along its branches. You can see a lot of resin even on its larger leaves; they will be dense, aromatic, resinous, and large flowers. Each branch grew like a central one and has flowers from the base of each branch. Now we will start to fatten each of its flowers. Its flowers surprise us more and more as they fill their large and small leaves with resin. They keep stretching and fattening without stopping. The only problem we might face is that it's very difficult to control humidity since where I live it's winter and a very humid place. We'll try to prevent mold on its flowers. There's less and less time to see the final result. Good vibes, everyone.

MrJac_GHZMono We're reaching the end of our experience with Zkittlez from the Fastbud bank. It's really an easy plant to grow with very good results despite the stress it was given. Dense and large flowers loaded with resin and a very sweet smell. We still have a few days left before we start the flush and harvest, so we'll give it two more waterings with Top Candy and add Top Bud, and then we'll water only with water to flush the roots and improve the flavor of the flowers.

MrJac_GHZMono Last week, we started with the root washing, the flowers are full of resin and each branch is loaded with buds that are dense and big. We'll give them about 7 more days to finish maturing. Between 05/15 and 05/19, we'll check the trichomes every day to make sure we don't miss the right time to harvest.

MrJac_GHZMono It's a very easy strain to grow and its growth pattern is impressive. If we hadn't subjected it to stress, we probably would have had a higher yield. It has a scent reminiscent of schist and tropical fruit, and a sweet flavor. Definitely recommended for first-time grows.

Hello! Thanks for starting a Diary with us =) If you have any questions, we're here! 💚

Dude.... so you didn't update for 2 weeks, maybe you read this. Main-lining an auto is not really a good idea! You dont have the time to do it. They dont stay in VEG as long as you want to. I wish you the best of luck and maybe you get a little Yield.

@@ShotGunBob, Hey, I haven't had time to update the follow-up, but I have been taking photos for when I could do it, and here it is. Honestly, I was thinking the same thing, but I think it's giving us good results. They keep growing and have already started showing pre-flower. There's a theory that says autoflowering plants start to flower between the 5th and 6th node, so any stress you put on the plant has to be quicker than with a regular or feminized one... Thank you very much for commenting, and we'll see what comes out :) well, peace and vibes.
