Hi folks! I've started a new batch. Lemon Orange is my favorite now, so I'm growing it again.
Alright, let's get back to germination. The seeds sprouted quickly and shed their helmets in no time!
On Saturday, it will be a week since they shed their helmets. They look great and are almost the same size. Lemon might be a bit taller, but King's Juice has a thicker stem—which isn’t surprising since Lemon Orange is mostly sativa, while King's Juice is an indica.
Hello folks. The week wasn’t without problems, but the growth rate is still good. Lemon Orange looks better and bigger, although judging by the drainage, it consumes less than King's Juice. King's Juice has deformed leaves. Overall, there is a slight deficiency of calcium and magnesium. This week, I will transplant them into the standard Autopot containers and update with new photos.
Week Update – Transition to AutoPot System
This week, the plants were successfully transplanted into their designated 15-liter AutoPot containers, and the system was switched on a day ago.
I’m still noticing some signs of nutrient excess on the leaves, but I expect them to fade as the plants grow and the substrate gets gradually flushed with fresh nutrient solution.
As for growth differences, Lemon Orange is now slightly behind King's Juice in overall development, but it remains taller. Everything else is visible in the pictures.
Plans for the Next Week
Topping the main stem to encourage bushier growth.
Implementing SCROG
Looking forward to seeing how they respond in the coming days!
The week went well overall. I topped the main colas, which helped the side branches catch up and grow stronger. The girls also gained noticeable height.
I defoliated a bit — removed some fan leaves that were blocking light from reaching lower branches.
I tried increasing the PPM from 550 to 700 using the base nutrients, but it resulted in slight nitrogen toxicity, so I brought it back down to 610. For the next reservoir mix, I’m planning to keep it around 600 PPM as well, but with slightly less base nutrients and a bit more CalMag.
By the way, if you can recommend a good CalMag with low nitrogen, that would be much appreciated!
Overall, the growth rate is improving. I’m planning to keep them in veg for another week or two, then flip to 12/12.
