AustinRon TH 1Q2025 - Week 0
(ON Haze X Original Haze) X Northern Lights #2
“Todd’s Haze”
Objective
- 8 Female Plants, Topped ONCE @ Flip, 12” when topped
- Modified Sea of Green
Seeds Wet: 1139PM, 28.2.2025
Germinated: 2.3.2025
Flip: 21.3.2025
Harvest: 77 Days, DATE: 6.6.2025
_________________________________________
Start of Week: [Fri Feb 28, 2025, TH 1Q25 1:G:0:1]
End of Week: [Thu Mar 6, 2025, TH 1Q25 7:G:0:7]
Pheno Hunt Rules
- For REGULAR SEEDS, may enter 12 Plants with Cotyledons
- Pop 18 (for 8 Males - lots of safety)
- FIRST 12 PCells Label as Pheno Hunt
- Second 6 PCells Label as AR-Only
Note: Todd McCormick (AGSeedco.com) confirmed that this cultivar expresses Haze’s tendency to produce more Females than Males from seed - though at a rate less than Haze’s 70/30% Female/Male ratio. We’re I too guess - we may end up with 8 females from 12 seeds. . . Wouldn’t that be something
Overview
- As part of the Grow Cast Grand Pheno Hunt, We want 8 Female Plants, Topped, Flipped when 12” tall, Grown to Maturity
- We’re growing regs, so will double and add a couple for safety (18)
- First 12 Plants with Cotyledons - Label Pheno Hunt
- Label Balance of the plants “AR-Only”
- After Gender testing, Identify 8 Females to Flower (Pheno Hunt & Non-Pheno Hunt Seedlings)
- Label Final Plants as appropriate (PhenoHunt/NonPhenoHunt)
- Harvest @ 11 Weeks (±3 days . . .)
Nutrient Regime
- Rooted Leaf Agritech, Max EC for Grow: [ 1.8, mS/cm2]
- Primer A&B

Tail Preps - Dip length of tail
- Beauveria Bassiana
- Great White
- Fresh Aloe Vera
- With small spatula or knife,
- insert in center of 1L Coco Filled PCell, straight down, the length of the tail +1/4”.
- With 5-10° tilt, widen the slit to accommodate tail.
- Lay Tail on Spatula or knife, and insert into now widened slit
- Gently slide Spatula or knife away.
- GENTLY press sides of PC together to close slit
Tail planting was straightforward and uneventful, other than having cotyledons emerging from Paper Towels.

Notes: ERROR - I forgot to COVER seedling mats last night. Result? 3 of the germinated seeds popped cotyledons.
I don’t know WHY I used a Side fold. I usually place the seed UNDER the fold, which in this case would have stunted the sprouts, hard.
SOP - Seedling Mats - SIDE FOLD (for Safety). Germinate In the Dark.
Prepping sprouts is about as stressful as I could imagine. Bombarded with bacteria and fungus, placed in a foreign environment, unfamiliar temperature and humidity.
Lights 24 h until Cotyledons have been open for 24 hours - then 18/6 until Flip.
Goal till Flip - Massive Roots … (Hence, GrowBuilders protocol)

4. Drain/Semi-Dry
* Coco Will hold a LOT of Water. We progressively dry the top of container, harvesting moist / not-wet coco to medium term storage, bringing the wet from the bottom, and drying the top again.
* When Complete - Store in a covered, not airtight container.
*(NEED REFERENCE)
For Consistency, will re-buffer all current coco.

Noted Revegging. Attribute it to HIGH EC (We ran up to 2.4 before bringing back down…)
Dropped LightCycle to 11/13.
- Looking to STAY COOLER ( 80°F)
- Let’s reduce SUB-CANOPY Lighting to 50% (Dimmer @ 25%, lights for a 4x4)

@NyBushDr, IMO the Atreum Hydra-3200 is the max one can run w/out CO2 in a 2x4. The algorithmic spacing does provide an excellent PAR map as you've indicated.
It causes the plants to grow in a radial array - | /. Actually opens up more light surface! (The QR code Below goes to my IG showing this 'spread.')
Would I buy another? Certainly. I was running a Mars Hydro 3200 Bar Light. The Atreum array physically just fits inside the tent. After two grows, I'm no longer hitting my head against it. A MAJOR Benefit is because it's an array - plants that grow into the lights receive significantly less light than a single Bar light.
It's more than worth the Made in America Tax that makes it ~10 - 15% more than the Chinese fixtures. Cheers!
