Hey, this is more of a test report for me to try this out. Hope you enjoy the following weeks :D
I recieved the seeds on Friday and immediately put them in a plastic box with wet papertowels and put them in my bathroom cabinet. As of now (Sunday), 7 of the 9 already popped their shell.
I plan to put them into 11L pots Monday evening/Tuesday.
I will try to get some pictures and upload them here.
Update: After 8 of the 9 popped, i added the last one to make sure i get at least my target 9, which i did. So from one 10 seed pack i germinated 9 out of 10, not bad for the second time i think :D.
So it’s Monday and i planted 8 of 9 seeds in to 11L pots due to one taking longer. Just in case it wont germinate, i threw in yesterday another fresh seed (the last one from my 10pack) in the germinating box. So yes, the one pot is just with dirt and no seed inside it.
This is my first grow with the Mars Hydro Supersonic humidifier so im excited to see how it will go, i will probably have to readjust the position of the moisture sensor from the humidifier (on the left of the back wall) so any advice on where the best position is for it, would be appreciated.
Update:
All 9 of 9 have successfully germinated, that one seed is ca. 24hrs behind the other ones. This one will be planted in the pot later today.
Welcome to the second week, the plants continue to grow steadily and healthy.
The temperature in the tent is a steady between 22 and 25 degree Celsius.
I am beginning to add my nutrients to the water. I use Canna, I always start with the CalMag additive, and from there i add the proper nutrient for the plants current phase.
Its a bit difficult to type in the exact values of what I use in the diary, so I will have it exactly written in the Week comments most likely.
I prepare a 10L watering can, there i add CalMag, and after that Terra Vega.
As this is the first dose for the plants, i start off easy with 8ml/10L, that water should suffice for the next two days. After that is used up, I will raise that continuously.
Im happy with how they are growing.
Thanks for everyone who’s tuning in and have a good day :)
Welcome to this weeks update :)
The plants are looking good, I am starting to increase the amount of fertilizer as per plan. The plants look happy and healthy, slowly I can begin to smell them hahah. I
am very excited to see how they turn out with time. I predict that they will be ready for harvest by mid May-ish.
I don’t know what else I can add to this week, besides maybe that one plant developed some spots at the beginning and has kept them since, if they wont disappear I will definitely post it as a question, I don’t think I have a picture of it posted in this week.
Thanks for tuning in and until next week :D
Hello guys I posted a photo of the plant with the spots and I wanted to ask if anyone might help me out with diagnosing the problem on that plant, thank you in advance!
This week has been rather successful, besides the fact that I lost one plant due to TMV (thanks to the community again for helping out).
I guess I was lucky that none of the other plants have been infected, they continue to grow beautifully.
Yesterday was the first for these plants that i trimmed them a little bit since the leaves got really really big in this tiny space. Lets see what this coming week brings :D
And also, I did not expect the plants to smell that strong that fast, especially still in vegetation phase.
Thank you everyone who responded to my question above. After some research, I´ve come to the conclusion that it is / probably is TMC, so I immediately removed the plant from my tent just in case to not infect the other ones. Lets hope no other plants will show these symptoms all of a sudden. For fun I will leave the infected plant on my balcony until i throw it away.
