On March 10th, 2025, seeds were placed on a dampened paper towel inside a Ziploc bag, ensuring the towel was moist but not dripping wet. The seeds were positioned on top of the towel to allow for clear observation of any germination progress. The setup was stored in a dark, cool environment with stable temperatures that remained consistent throughout the day. Within 48 hours, visible taproots had developed. No presoak was used for the seeds prior to this process.
The seedling seems to be thriving well. It’s under 24-hour light, positioned about 24 inches away from the grow light. However, I feel the seedlings have stretched a bit too much, so I’ll be adding more soil as needed if they get too tall.
The plant has been successfully transferred into a 3-gallon pot, which will accommodate its growth for the remainder of its life cycle. No signs of growth stagnation have been observed, and it appears to be adapting well to its new environment, showing healthy development. Next week, a gradual shift in nutrient composition will be implemented to support its continued growth, with adjustments based on its current needs and stage of development. To maintain optimal hydration and prevent nutrient lockout, PH-balanced distilled water will continue to be used. The plant is currently following a light cycle of 24 hours of light followed by 4 hours of darkness, which is being monitored to ensure proper photoperiod conditions for its growth phase. At this point, the plant's sex remains undetermined, as there are no definitive signs of gender—such as the development of pre-flowers or sex organs—yet. Close observation will continue over the coming weeks to identify any sexual characteristics.
Gender is still unknown at this time. Appears to be growing happily under 24 hours of light. Will be adding compound tea next feeding. Will infuse with 1 fruit. Still deciding between Papaya, Strawberry’s or Blueberry’s.
This week has shown significant progress. I opted to activate the vegetation lights, which should enhance growth further. It’s evident that this plant is female, so there won’t be a seed diary for now. I also incorporated garden wire for Low Stress Training (LST), which is already contributing to a fuller, more robust canopy. Overall, the plant appears healthy and thriving—I’m excited to see just how large it can grow this season.
