DivineBuds420 Wie der Titel verrät, beginnt hier der diesjährige Outdoor (Balkon) Grow.
Dieses Jahr starten wir etwas früher mit den Vorbereitungen.
Wir werden die Pflanzen drinnen in unserem kleinen Zelt vorziehen und anschließend auf den Balkon verfrachten.
Der genaue Plan steht noch nicht bis ins Detail fest und wird sich erfahrungsgemäß sowieso während des grows mehrmals ändern. 😂
Was auf jeden Fall feststeht ist: wir werden einige Frisian Dew mit ins Rennen schicken.
Was sonst noch dazu kommt wird sich noch herausstellen - uns stehen einige Möglichkeiten zur Auswahl. 🤗

Die kleinen entwickeln sich prächtig und werden kräftiger. Bald steht das Umtopfen an, bevor sie ihren Platz auf dem Balkon bekommen. Doch eine Frage beschäftigt mich: Mainlining oder einfach nur toppen? 🌿✂️
Ich bin unsicher, ob jetzt der perfekte Zeitpunkt ist – oder ob ich ihn vielleicht schon verpasst habe. Hat jemand Erfahrung damit? 🚀

The little ones are thriving and getting stronger. Soon, it will be time to repot them before they move to the balcony. But one question remains: Mainlining or just topping? 🌿✂️
I’m not sure if now is the perfect moment – or if I might have already missed it. Anyone with experience? 🚀

Mainlining or Topping?
Hey everyone, my Frisian Dew plants are in week 3, and I’m unsure if it’s too early, too late, or just the right time for mainlining. I have no experience with this technique yet. Should I just top them instead? Any advice is appreciated! 🙏
Pro Mainlining:
You’ve got a good window for mainlining right now and the structure looks clean enough to set up an even base.
Topping alone would be quicker.😇
Timing-wise:
For mainlining, this is the last safe point. You need to cut early while nodes are still even – otherwise the symmetry’s gone.
For simple topping, you could wait a bit longer – but if the plant is growing fast post-transplant, doing it now gives you better control.
Bottom line: if you’re considering mainlining at all, don’t wait. You’re right at the edge where it still works cleanly.
Besides all reasoning and any advice. To add some confusion... I would advise topping and less work 😂 Mainling for more work, bigger yield and better pictures for me to look at? 😜
Grow Report – Frisian Dew (Outdoor / Balkon)
Ich habe Frisian Dew outdoor auf dem Balkon angebaut und bin insgesamt sehr zufrieden mit dem Grow. Die Sorte war einfach anzubauen, hat kaum Probleme gemacht und am Ende ein gutes, solides Ergebnis geliefert.
Wachstum & Handling
Frisian Dew ist sehr unkompliziert im Handling. Die Pflanze ist stabil gewachsen, kam gut mit Wind und wechselhaftem Wetter klar und zeigte insgesamt eine robuste Struktur. Gerade für Outdoor-Bedingungen auf dem Balkon ist das ein großer Pluspunkt.
️ Outdoor-Performance
Trotz begrenztem Platz und den typischen Bedingungen in Norddeutschland hat sich die Sorte sehr gut geschlagen. Sie wirkte insgesamt relativ widerstandsfähig und hat Stress besser weggesteckt als manche andere Outdoor-Strains.
Blüte & Ertrag
Die Blüten haben sich ordentlich entwickelt und der Gesamtertrag war absolut zufriedenstellend für einen Balkon-Grow. Dichte Buds und ein schönes Erscheinungsbild am Ende der Blüte.
️ Probleme
Wie bei vielen Outdoor-Grows in Norddeutschland gab es leider etwas Budrot. Ein paar Buds mussten entsorgt werden, was bei feuchtem Wetter draußen keine Seltenheit ist. Insgesamt hielt sich das Problem aber in Grenzen und stand in keinem schlechten Verhältnis zum Gesamtertrag.
Fazit
Frisian Dew ist eine sehr empfehlenswerte Outdoor-Sorte, auch für den Balkon-Anbau. Einfach zu growen, robust gegenüber Wetterbedingungen und mit gutem Ertrag. Trotz kleiner Verluste durch Budrot ein sehr gelungener Grow, den ich jederzeit wiederholen würde.
Grow Report – Frisian Dew (Outdoor / Balcony)
I grew Frisian Dew outdoors on a balcony and overall I’m very happy with how the grow turned out. The strain was easy to grow, caused very few problems and delivered a good, solid result in the end.
Growth & Handling
Frisian Dew was very easy to handle throughout the grow. The plant grew strong and stable, handled wind and changing weather well and showed a robust structure overall. This is a big plus, especially for outdoor balcony conditions.
️ Outdoor Performance
Despite limited space and the typical conditions in northern Germany, the plant performed very well. It appeared relatively resistant and handled stress better than some other outdoor strains.
Flowering & Yield
The buds developed nicely and the overall yield was absolutely satisfying for a balcony grow. Dense buds and a clean look by the end of flowering.
️ Issues
As with many outdoor grows in northern Germany, there was some bud rot. A few buds had to be discarded, which is not uncommon in humid outdoor conditions. Overall, the issue remained manageable and did not significantly affect the final result.
Final Thoughts
Frisian Dew is a great choice for outdoor growing, including balcony setups. Easy to grow, resilient to weather conditions and capable of delivering a solid yield. Despite minor losses due to bud rot, this was a very successful grow that I would happily repeat.
