Purple bud looks amazing. It's a pity the other plant turned out to be a male! I'll be buying this strain again for sure - same age, condition, feeding schedule and seed price as the skunk #1, but look at the difference!
Some brown spots showing on the top sugar leaves. I suspect it is due to the cooling fan of the light blowing down hot air?
I've adjusted the fans to blow air directly over the top of the main cola's and I increased the light distance.
Hi Tweet, great grow , really healthy throughout ! What I think happened is that the lamp to plant distance is a bit short so the top of the plant reacted to that. you can see the top leaves cupping from the heat and the stress, and that's where the browning is coming from. Adjust your lights higher to deal with the heat and light stress and it should recover quickly. Hope this helps ! 🚀
The new light is obviously working well and both strains are smelling beautiful. The purple bud looks incredible! The stems are getting heavy and will soon need to be held upright rather than tied down!

Now the 800w is running. This is much higher in red spectrum and only has pink LEDs. Within a few days there is a huge difference in bud development.
The purple bud has almost perfect structure and symmetry. I'm surprised of it's growth compared to the skunk.
Still using the 300w LED! These clearly needed a huge trim of the big fan leaves and some LST to fully expose the bud sites. It's also pretty clear which one is the male..
Amazing what a little LED light can do! I was really impressed at this stage but I soon realised once I was into flowering that this light wasn't going to get the results I wanted. No worries as this will work perfectly for my clones in future grows ;-)
One seedling had the shell still attached, I could have removed it sooner but I didn't want to risk damaging it. After a few days I could see it was affecting development so I had to remove it myself. Unfortunately this plant was doomed from day 1 :(
Huge dense indica leaves! These developed really well under a cheap €80 "300w" LED (real consumption 120w) light from Amazon. I had both veg and bloom lights running since the light is not very powerful, however it is pretty high in blue spectrum which is good for veg. It also had IR/UV lighting. I later swapped this light in flowering for a 800w LED.
One purple bud with stunned growth. Huge purple stems and deformed leafs. It seemed to recover and soon became the largest plant, however it looked nothing like the other one and was very 'stalky' which I then assumed would be a male/hermie. I kept it going for a bit longer than necessary as this is my first attempt and I wanted to be absolutely sure before I removed it.
