Ganja Grow 2

GanjaChimp This time I am going to take it slow. Keeping PPFD around 200. Added a good amount of vermiculite to a premixed substrate (85% peat + 15% perlite) to supply the plant with enough silica during vegetation and flowering.

GanjaChimp Yet not much to say. Plant is gaining biomass and slowly increasing grow speed. Light is at PPFD 250.

GanjaChimp Increased power setting of the se3000 to PPFD 350. (In fact somewhere around 300 +/- 50, because my measurements are not very accurate). Humidity is between 49 % and 60 % Plant is doing well.

GanjaChimp Started fertilizing with 0,6g/Liter of 18-8-18 this week. Also did a FIM-cut and some defoliation. I never did a FIM before, so I am really excited about how this is going to turn out. 🤞 Dialed the lamp up to 30%.

GanjaChimp Defoliation and LST in week five. Changed the light 18/6 to 20/4. PPFD is now at 600. Plant is fine

GanjaChimp Intensified LST by tying down the branches and removing leaves to improve airflow. Actually I have planned to put her to flower in week 7, but I think I am going to give her another week or two in veg. We’ll see …

GanjaChimp First week of flower. Added a net to guide the shoots. I have to water her almost daily now.

GanjaChimp Plant is thriving. This week I have discovered that two stems are fasciating (pic). I have never seen something like that before. At first I took into consideration to just chop it off, but a video of DeBacco University on this topic changed my mind. This was really helpful.😉

GanjaChimp Plant is growing. This week I had to do a lot of defoliation, because inside of the plant foliage got too dense. (Tying down the main stem results in plenty of work throughout the whole grow.)

GanjaChimp Plant is flowering. First trichomes are visible. I removed the net, so I can handle the plant better when defoliating. Now I use paracord to guide the branches.

GanjaChimp Not much to say. Plant is thriving. Last week of nutrition with 18-8-18. In week six I am going to remove the nitrogen.

GanjaChimp Switched nutrient 18-8-18 to 0-52-34 depriving the plant of nitrogen almost completely. Almost, because I still add some CalMag to the nutrient solution that contains some nitrogen. But it is very dilute. Buds are fattening now ☺️

GanjaChimp Yellow leaves are the result of induced nitrogen deficiency. Plant should be ready for harvest in one or two weeks. I am bit worried about the high day temperature (28-29°C). I hope it won’t affect the quality of the end product too much.

GanjaChimp Maybe she going to need more time than expected. At the end of week 8 less than 10% of the trichomes turned amber. We’ll see 😊

GanjaChimp This is the last week. Next week I am going to harvest her ☺️. Smell is amazing, but not as strong as I expected it …. or maybe I got used to it … who knows
