Initial germination date: 3/25 Sprout day: 3/27 Method: Moist cotton pads and plastic bag 3/25: She'll be living in my closet, and I'll be checking every day for progress and to re-add moisture as needed. Have humidifier going to keep humidity up in the room. I'll reupdate when we hit the seedling phase in few days (hopefully) 🙏 3/26: Something told me to my environment was TOO moist and I'm pretty sure I was correct lol. Cotton pads were so wet I could squeeze water out 😭 Switched to fresh cotton pads with a light mist on one pad and kept the other dry. Progress spotted within 12 hours from this switch. 3/27: IT POPPED! 😁 Decided to wait till tomorrow morning to switch to red solo cup in Happy Frog medium. Next update when seedling phase begins 😎 3/29: SEEDLING DAY 1! 😎 Approx. 2cm tall already. Switched lights on to 20% yesterday at 6pm, kept them on for 18hrs. Also decided to switch from a water bottle to a plastic bag + rubber band dome but plan to switch back for easier access. Wasn't expecting progress overnight but here we are lol 😂😁 3/31: Transplant day. I think she's growing well--she's at 4.5 cm height today and the leaves measure 1.5 cm. Still sitting at 24" with 40% light intensity. Applied "smartgrowers supercharge" on the root ball and gave it about .5 liters of water after transplant. Been fighting temps and humidity all day but hoping to get it adjusted by tomorrow.

strait to soil after after the seed cracks! she will need very very little nutrients at a very early age and there are none in the cotton but she will find in the Happy Frog, that is why you are using it ...are you an experienced grower... solo cup?... is she an autoflower, straight to final pots is usually recommended... but if you go with the solo cups don't forget drainage holes in the bottom and remember not to let her get too root bound, autoflower tap roots like to shoot downwards quickly and can possibly be stunted if it runs out of space too fast.good luck.

18/6 is fine for an auto as long as she is getting enough DLI. Sorry it’s taken me so long to respond. Turn the lights on in the grow room once the seed is tucked gently into the solo cup. She will be happy to see the light when she emerges from the soil. Good luck.

@sanibelisl, youre fine lol, I've just been listening to the plant for the most part. She's sitting at 300 PPFD according to photone app. My main worry is stunted growth since I have no real idea what I'm supposed to be seeing in each timeframe 😂

only a matter of days in the solo cup ...she can't be left homeless for very long and temporary housing is just that, temporary!... she will need permanent housing sooner rather than later.

@sanibelisl, everything I need to do the transplant will be here in 2 days so I guess I shall see how shes looking then. Would you turn lights on now or after it sprouts from the soil? I know light doesn't really matter for autos, but I want to put it on a 18:6 cycle (12pm-6pm lights off).

Hey, @sanibelisl. I'm not experienced at all lol. I don't plan to keep her in the solo cup for entire grow but the cup is well ventilated (9 holes). I just ordered some 3 gal fabric pots. She'll get some "Smart Growers Supercharge" sprinkled on the roots when I transplant her and that's also what I'll be using as a compost tea. I was thinking she may be fine in the solo cup for about 2 weeks (maybe less)
