I couldn’t agree more!!! Why top at such a young age. Better yet, why top an autoflower at all. But if you were to top you should wait until you have at a minimum 4 to 5 nodes, looks from your picture you topped her at the first node. Why? You said you were using auto pots and I do believe that they are the most efficient way to water you have to establish the root system first. At 4 inches tall your plant has not yet developed a root system to be ready for a bottom watering auto pot system. At this stage I would still be using a turkey baster for watering. The roots are probably not much more developed than what you can see above ground so until they are 8-10 inches tall and really starting to veg out before bottom watering should be considered. Light. I think she would like more light. Cannabis can handle much more light than other plants and actually thrive with more light. Light is so important that I strongly recommend watching videos on the subject produced by Dr. Bugsby from the University of Utah (if you are going to grow cannabis watch these videos!) Daz. Daz. Daz. Blue Power,can’t wait!!! I also picked up a pack along with a pack of High Lux this time around. Also have from the Dog Days of Summer drop a pack of CHEM91 (clone only) which I am positive will take me back to the original I was smoking back in Florida in ‘91 And a Vanilla Fizz as well. Bought a pack of Compound V last spring and popped two beans not really sure what to expect from Night Owl genetics. Well I was not to be disappointed! They were a blast to grow and though they were the shortest plants I’ve ever grown (27inches) the final yield was over four ounces per plant. Looking forward to following your Milk and Qookies grow as I have passed them up (I want them all). Anyway my Compound V grow is here to look at if you like. Happy gardening. P. S. Daz has done most of the work for us, picking out the best stock over and over until we get the best product available with as little work on our part as possible. In other words I believe any removal of vegetation (unless done within a very short window of time) will result in lessening your yield. LST is your best option but again because Daz has done all work for us his plants grow vigorously and as a result a little more stout and the main stem more “woody”. That’s what I learned with the Compound V grow.

Looking sweet. You can expect to see pistils shortly if you haven’t already. These pistils are the longest, thickest most prominent I have ever seen. They definitely are female plants! They will go into stretch very quickly and should top out between 24-27 inches tall in about a week’s time. If you plan on defoliating your window is short as I found out removing any foliage after stretching stunts them for a couple of days. On the other hand they do like to be fed and responded well with extra bloom nutrients. Maybe be careful with the nitrogen as they are naturally very vegetative and perhaps that may help with defoliation. Anyway that’s what I have for this stage of growth and I will try to keep up with your grow. Exciting to see someone else growing some Compound V.

Nice little Night Owls. I grew two Compound V last spring and they were such a fun plant to grow. Never had the chance to LST as they were too short and stout to bend over. Not to worry though because the side branches and main stem formed a nice canopy anyway. They only reached 27 inches in height but were wide at one of them coming in at 34 inches across. Each plant yielded over 4 ounces and were havested on day 88. Currently do not have a grow in progress but have purchased more Night Owl seeds from each of their last two drops, Chemdog91 auto, Vanilla Fizz, Blue Power auto, and a pack of High Lux. love your set up! I am growing in a stairwell closet with a homemade light system happy gardening.
