Plant_Scientist Let's start a new grow diary for Red Hot Cookies, by Sweet Seeds! Red Hot Cookies just germinated and is looking healthy and strong. This time, I am testing a 2L fabric pot in my micro-cabinet, to see how well you can grow cannabis in a very small container. I’ve prepared the growing substrate using 2 litres of Plagron Lightmix as a base, enriched with nutrients from BioTabs:
✅ 12 g Startrex
✅ 2.5 g Mycotrex
✅ 1/2 BioTab
After mixing everything, I watered the substrate with 0.5 L of water containing:
💧 1 tsp per L of Bactrex
💧 5 ml per L of Orgatrex

Plant_Scientist The first week flew by! Our little Red Hot Cookies seedling is off to a great start and showing impressive vigor for such a tiny container grow. She's standing tall and looking healthy in her 2L fabric pot. Toward the end of the week, I removed the humidity dome—no issues at all. She's adapting well to the open environment, and I’m excited to see how she develops in the coming weeks. So far, this micro grow is off to a strong start!

Plant_Scientist Another solid week flew by as Red Hot Cookies just keeps on growing! She’s now showing off her first sets of true leaves, rocking a vibrant, dark green color that screams good health.
So far, the 2L pot doesn’t seem to be holding her back at all—she’s thriving in this mini setup like a champ. The climate has been stable and dialed in nicely this week, and it’s clearly paying off.
As promised for BioTabs, I’ve included some pictures of my small, stealthy growing cabinet! In the pics you’ll spot:
- The current grow light (upgrade coming soon!)
- Fans for solid air movement
- A humidifier to help keep the VPD in check
- In the top: the exhaust fan + carbon filter combo, insulated with foam and equipped with a silencer to reduce noise
- Dimensions (H x W x D) are 115 x 65 x 35 cm
See you next week!

Plant_Scientist This was an eventful week in the cabinet, as I finally upgraded my lighting setup. After years of good service, I replaced my old grow light with AC Infinity's IonBeam LEDs, which use the latest Samsung EVO diodes. These new LEDs run at a much lower wattage but are significantly more efficient, so I’m curious to see how well they perform in my setup. Depending on the results, I might consider further upgrades in the future.
After just a few days, I already noticed some changes. The cabinet no longer heats up as much during the day, and the leaves look much flatter and more relaxed. I suspect the more even spread of the IonBeam LEDs is reducing localized heat spots, leading to improved canopy conditions.

Plant_Scientist Flowering has officially started. The first pistils are now visible, marking the beginning of the generative phase. Red Hot Cookies is right on schedule, while Laughing Buddha is in the middle of a strong flowering stretch.
Temperatures have been very stable this week, but humidity has been relatively high—reaching up to 70% at night at times. This was mainly due to heavy rainfall causing increased humidity in my apartment. Conditions should improve in the coming week as the weather clears up, so there’s no concern yet.
The 2L pot still isn’t holding her back. This micro grow is progressing well.

Plant_Scientist Red Hot Cookies is now fully into the flowering phase. There's been a massive flowering stretch this week and the first buds are beginning to form. The flower structure is already impressively compact, and it's fascinating to see the development—she’s growing like a bud-on-a-stick, exactly as intended with the 2L pot. I’m really curious to see how these buds will develop in the coming weeks.
