NizzyJones These are some L.A. Zkittles from Bred By 42, they were started in solo cup hempy buckets then transferred to ~1 qt. hempy buckets, topped and LSTed, until mid week six when I transferred them to the DWC (largest plant has been in the DWC for three days longer than the others because reasons). I'll be bumping the Grow up to 15 ml/G tomorrow. The larger two plants look like probable females, third still unclear. Veg space is just a closet under a 100W QB LED panel, flowering will be in a 2'x2' tent under 135W QB LED panel (both actual watts) Water is tap water, the listed TDS for this week is the approximate net ppm (I'll track more carefully going forward), my tap water registers 120ppm and slightly basic. Got a little creative with using a paper weight to anchor one of the plant ties on that one plant.

NizzyJones Wednesday: Res changed out and rearranged. Bumped the Grow up to 15 ml/gal. Working with these you get a nice fruity stank, really excited to see how they flower. Semi-arbitrarily numbered the plants by size, #1 is most likely to go into the flower tent when it's free. #3 has exhibited that leaf curling since around week three, appears to be genetic. Saturday: I started defoliating systematically. My basic process is: find the growth tips I would like to slow down a bit and take the leaves off the second or third node from the top to help expose the lower branches around them. Newer leaves have a nice spicy anise taste with a hint of fruitiness (-- You taste your leaves? -- Do you not?) Also checked TDS & pH. Forgot to write that down but the smaller plants were down to around 550ppm and 6.1 pH, I left them alone. #1 was around 480ppm and pH 6.3, I gave it another 5ml of Grow getting up around 800ppm. (All net ppm)

NizzyJones Wednesday The slower Rocklock pheno is definitely staying in the flowering tent past this weekend (will update that diary tomorrow), and since things are already getting tight in here I did a heavy defoliation of #3 Monday, so now I'm pretty locked in to flowering #1 or #2. Did a full res change out again this week because the perlite/verm mix is still making the res a little messy. May see how long I can get away with leaving it and just topping up if that stops. Saturday Checked in and re-arranged. TDS (gross): #1 1130ppm, #2 868ppm, #3 1076ppm; pH all right around 6.0 Added some distilled water to #1 & 3 to get them down under 1000ppm.

NizzyJones Wed. (F2) Got a new 32"x32" (roughly 80cm x 80cm) tent and moved the plants in there yesterday. I flipped to 12/12 Monday (F0) and did a res change out with my transitional feeding formula today. Waiting to see what happens, I may actually take the loss in W/sq ft. if the bigger plants are both girls and move the 135W in here and use the 2'x2' for veg. Still got the Rocklock girls in there for a day or two more. Fri. (F4) Yesterday I got the ducting to hook this tent up to the other for exhaust. Seemed like I might see the beginnings of nute burn so I added some distilled water to all of them. Today I flipped the lights between the tents so the 135W is over these now. Did some defoliating of the upper canopy. Almost double the square footage (bit over 7 sq ft) in this tent now that I do the math but might still be worth it if the big plants turn out to be girls. Can't hurt to run it that way once. Sun. (F6) Topped up again yesterday, #1 especially is really drinking it up. It's now got roughly a 2' x 1' canopy. Did a little bit more defoliation this morning.

NizzyJones Thur. (F10) Was pretty sure #3 was a boy yesterday, but left it 'til today to make sure before culling it. Switching over to all PBP Bloom for the primary nutrients. I stuck both stones from my 4 L/min pump into #2 to try to get it to catch up to #1 in the stretch. I'm gonna switch direction and leave these in the 32"x32" tent after all. I'll take the hit in W/sq ft to finish the two phenos at once. I'll take variety over efficiency. Sun. (F13) Just topped up and did a little light defoliating. Just out of curiosity I've left the male next to my desk since Thursday to see how long it can stand to go without an air pump going. So far it looks fine. I hadn't changed it out Wed. or topped up since maybe Sun./Mon. so the water level was maybe an inch or two below the net pot. That seems to be enough for it to survive for quite awhile even if it doesn't thrive.

NizzyJones Sat. F19 Filling out nice. Got a little touch of light bleaching on some upper leaves. The male, #3, that's sitting by the window without an air stone in it for over a week now is still pretty healthy, haven't done anything but dump a little water in it so over two weeks since I added nutes. That combined with a podcast with a botanist which touched on how over concentrated bottled nute feeding schedules tend to be has me backing off feeding, did 12 ml/gal of the Bloom in the res change out on Wed. and they seem pretty happy.

NizzyJones Mon. 4/22 - F28 Oh boy. #1 is fattening up faster, has always looked like the more "indica"-y pheno. Did some thinning out of the undergrowth the other day, could probably stand to do a little more. Pretty much on cruise control.

NizzyJones And we're back. May 13, seven weeks of 12/12 -- wide shots are pretty overexposed but you get the general idea. Tomorrow or the next day I'll have to decide if I'm going to keep feeding #1, leaning toward very minimal feed if any. #2 stretching up quite a bit taller, clear 'sativa' type, have been a little worried about light burn 'cause I don't want to bump the light up too far from #1 but not seeing any yet.

NizzyJones Nine weeks of 12/12. Flush flush flushing. I ended up feeding a bit in week seven, just topping up with water since then. Actually I'll probably feed #2 a little bit, she's clearly going a bit longer. #1 I would expect to take in a week or so.
