Started this diary with week 6, which is week 6 of flower, not total, making this week four of flowering.

Starting this diary toward the end of the run so apologies for lack of documentation of the beginning.

I have three Rocklock girls in 1 gal. hempy buckets and definitely didn't have my hempy bucket technique dialed in. I also didn't do any training because I wanted these to be a quick run while I got back into growing (legally this time) and while I got the L.A. Zkittles ready to go for round two. I ended up leaving them in solo cup hempys a bit too long, giving them a bit too much total veg time and if I hadn't had issues with poor drainage stunting one of the plants they'd be severely over-crowded. Did some defoliation, could have been more aggressive with it. So it goes. We'll see how it turns out.
Thursday:
Seven weeks of flowering. So close and yet so far.
#2 still looks well ahead of the others, kinda wish I had a clone of her. Thought about getting them all out of the tent for better photos but decided to wait a week. I'd like to at least take #2 down next Thur/Fri but we'll see.
Kinda struggling with the loupe when they're in the tent just because bending over them with it is awkward. The mini microscope I bought first is nearly worthless in there because I can't hold it steady enough. Think it'll be easier when I pull them out and get them up to eye height. 😎 But from what I can see #2 and #1 are both pretty cloudy, #2 more so. I was having better luck taking photos through the loupe but this time only a couple were usable and they were of the same bud. 😐
Saturday: tightened up the hinge on the loupe and having a much easier time of it. One of those simple solutions bonking me in the face. Starting to see a few amber trichs on #2!
I've begun watering #2 with just 5 ml/gal Liquid Karma. The others are still getting 5ml/gal Bloom and Liquid Karma.

So I just realized I shot some photos with no card in the camera. Not much change without getting to macro photos anyway. So, so close. Still just a few sparse amber trichomes on #2 though. Likely to be editing in some updates this week.

Well, I still hope this comes down before Thurs. but I was definitely wrong about it coming down this weekend.

Needing to validate that I'm right to wait, I stole a little nuglet from the undergrowth of #2. Vaping the sugar trim first to see how that works out. Tastes like leaf. Effects are not bad, considering, but it was just trim. I'm snipping up the budlet too. That'll make a couple small bowls in the Splinter.
Let's see how temp stepping these goes, hopefully decarb it a lil better. My Splinter temp control probably isn't super accurate so I'm starting at 350F. Stepping to 370F to really get any vapor. Tropical fruit flavors, "green". 390F gets a little toasty. Seems like it browns up faster than dried material.
Yeah, effects are pretty good, assuming some ripening while drying and curing. Just a bit longer.

Alright, 9 weeks down. #2 is just barely ready but I'm taking it down and giving the other pheno a few days / a week.
#2 Had a wet weight of 197g on the branch, trimmed 74g off that for 123g of wet bud on the branch, so maybe an oz with the stem weight. It has kinda larfy foxytailing buds, expecting more weight from #1.

Flipped the lights between tents today so these are now under the 100W QB for the end of the run.
F67 (Mon.)
Plant #2 is dried and jarred, taken off the branch, and weighing in at 24g. Estimate was pretty spot on.
Found a bean in #1 so I must have missed some hermaphroditism. Still can't find any amber trichomes on her so I imagine it'll go at least 70 days.
Sun. (F73)
Yup. We're still here. Starting to see some amber on #2, didn't look real closely at #1 but doesn't seem like it's got any yet. I'd like to take them down Thur./Fri. We'll see. So it goes.
Mon. (F74)
Pistils turning on #1 finally. Thinking about when my free time is gonna be the easiest to come by next Monday, 81 days of 12/12, might actually be the better day to take it down. Or I could just hang it with the leaves on and come back and trim it up Monday.
Have only tried the early bud from #2 so far - fruity, melon, skunky. Good but nothing special. Will have to update once the others are cured out, I wanted the early bud to be sure it wasn't all too heavy and probably erred on the side of taking it too soon.
So, I took #3 down F81, (60g wet, 17g dry) and just took #1 down on F88 (270g wet, estimating 67g dry). Some hermaphroditism on #1, only really seeded the popcorn so some of that just went in the trim bucket rather than mess with it. Will ice water hash that.
Overall happy with it for what it was. Wouldn't run the three plants in the 2'x2' again but as a first grow in awhile to minimize veg time and not put all my eggs in one basket it worked out okay. I definitely had issues with overfeeding and pH, had a drainage blockage drown #3 for a day or two during the stretch, got frustrated with how touchy the 1 gal. hempy buckets could be. That led to me switching to DWC for the next run (already in flower), I may give a single 3.5 gal. hempy in the 2'x'2 next time but I don't know. I think I like the system I came up with for the DWC where I use hempys for veg then just flip them to the DWC a week or two before flowering.
