Hey y’all,
Figured I try my hand at growing again. Haven’t done anything since 2021. Growing in zone 9a. Hoping these summer temps aren’t too harsh on the plants. Ended up going with Humboldt Seed company’s Cali Sour Diesel for genetics. I’ve never been big into genetics but figured id put some money into it this time around. Had success in my 2021 outdoor grow. They were some MONSTERS! Grew 3 plants and they were all over 8ft tall. This time, not looking for size but rather quality. Trying to go all organic inputs, staying away from bottled nutes. I’ve done a bit of research in KNF and using a few tricks from their trade. Alright y’all, let’s get the details of the grow now:
Seeds were put in filtered dechlorinated water on 3/29/25 and soaked for 16h. They were then placed into a paper towel to germinate on 3/30/25. I placed a heating Matt under the tray to help with root zone temps. Within two days, all 3 seeds had sprouted tap roots. They were planted into containers on 4/1/25. Lights are on a 15on/9off cycle to mimic the amount of sunlight we are getting. All 3 Cali Sour Diesel (CSD) seeds have sprouted through the soil.
I’m growing some other plants for my garden. I have some Roma tomatoes, cayenne peppers, basil, catnip (for my cats 😊), and dill.
1 week since I last posted, Cali Sour Diesel is off to a great start. They started to stretch for the light so I had to increase the intensity. I have it @ 40% and the plants seem to love it. Average temp/humidity was 74.4 F & 68.7% through the last week. I haven’t fed them anything other than filtered pH’ed water. I’m probably going to start small doses of Humic acid and Fermented soybean aminos with their waterings here soon.
Here we are 13 days after the seeds have sprouted from the soil. The ladies are loving life right now. I started giving them humid acid & soybean aminos with their waterings on 4/13. They seem to be liking it. Average temp throughout the week was 76.6 F & humidity was 62.5.
