Grow box full of Pepe

Gamerdad520 Been out the game for a few years, haven't had the space really, but caught wind of this vgrow setup and decided I could fit that in my office, so here we are. Picked the strain I did for three reasons: -Had great results running Ethos in the past -Looks like a good yielder with some nice effects and bag appeal -Always Sunny reference Turns out the peat I used kinda sucked and I also packed it a bit too hard, oops. She's pretty overwatered. I never sweat seedling stage too hard though--didn't kill her so we're all good. VGrow is pretty easy to keep dialed. Started her light at 60%, but by Day 7 I had her at 70%. Using the tried and true method of throwing wet cloths on the ground to keep things humid.

Gamerdad520 Got the wicked combo of droopy leaves and a little curling at the end. I didn't have to water her at all for a week and her substrate was still wet, so I had to make a move to a bigger pot. Didn't even bother bringing most of the soil over, just took her and about a golfball of that starter peat into coco and perlite, gave her some mycos for the roots, and watered her in. The tips of her leaves ended up charring a little bit but she's bounced back at this point. Ramping her up into this light intensity (80%) has kept her nodes nice and tight, which is what I like to see in a micro-grow. Seems like she's growing pretty quickly, but we'll have to see what weeks 3 and 4 do before I really have an opinion on this floraflex and coco arrangement. Cruise control until it's time to put her in her fabric pot and start using the auto-feeding base.

Gamerdad520 Probably sitting tight this week and waiting for some more nodes to show up. Idk it's week three. Doubt she'll be ready to top til next week. Midweek note, might start skimping on the foliar feeds. I don't think she loves the extra nitrogen. We'll see how she does with the bloom FF.

Gamerdad520 Week 4 day 1, she was looking a lil droopy and crowded, and the medium was starting to pull away from the pot. Pulled her out and sure enough, she was a lil rootbound, which is what I was going for. Moved her into the stock Vivosun pot with some mycos and watered her in. Really looking forward to getting her on autofeed and topping her, both this week for sure. If I had to guess I'll probably flip her around say 35-40 but we'll see!

Gamerdad520 Man, this auto-watering thing is finicky. I can't believe Vivosun recommends it from seed lol. I took the wicking ropes out on day 1 of this week to just let her dry back a bit. Hopefully once her roots hit the edge and bottom of the pot, she'll get the oxygen she needs. Otherwise I guess I'm top-feeding this whole damn grow lol. They gotta release that DWC kit. Tucked a couple of her leaves to let the new growth sites get a little more light. That's about all I want to do while she's recovering from being overwatered again. Midweek update: I've decided I absolutely hate the self-watering pots lol. Been manually aerating and she's already on a pretty perlite-heavy medium, but this thing completely waterlogged her. Gonna be so bummed if her roots rot. Definitely not using self-watering in any of my grows going forward! Despite the issues, she's slowly but surely starting to branch out nicely after the topping. I'll feel comfortable with a lil trim and putting the net on once she's dried out. End of week: the scrog net is in and she finally dried enough to get a top feed. Tipping over the top is finally letting the lowers get some direct light. Maybe she can finally beat the stunted allegations

Gamerdad520 Ugh. I think the auto-watering pots made this grow terminal. Seeing heavy signs of root rot from being so oversaturated for the better part of a week. Put me down as a bottom-feeding hater lol Midweek update: okay nevermind on the root rot. Fortunately it was just her getting really dry while I waited for the bottom to dry out a bit. She's bouncing back and the problem leaves even are getting some nitrogen back in them. At this point, the main branches are trained how I want them, so now it'll just be training any of the lowers that find an open spot in the canopy and a very light lollipop since I'll be running side lights. And of course waiting for her to add another few inches before I flower her, most likely next weekend!

Gamerdad520 We finally made it. In the next couple days she'll be tall enough to flower. I could have filled the net out a bit more, but at this point I'm just ready to get the show on the road after she spent about 3 weeks total overwatered and a bit stunted. Her lack of vigor is user error--put her in a bad grow puck and put her on the bottom feeder way too early--but when she's happy, she looks like she grows really well. Now that she's a lot more dialed in, we'll see what flower looks like. Midweek update: Day 46 from sprout, finally put her into 12/12 after a haircut to open up a lower canopy of branches. The Vivosun app wants me to lollipop so much next week, but I'm growing out basically everything that made it up to the net. Side lights. She's looking great and wants to get watered every 3 days right now. Assuming that's gonna pick up now that we're in flower

Gamerdad520 IDK if it's the stock Vivosun pot, the coco I used, or just the strain, but I'm completely blown away by how prone to overwatering this grow has been haha. I've never had overwatering issues like this in my life, but here she is, always droopy and sad. After she got so hungry and stunted the first time I grew her out, I got afraid to let her dry out again, but she just isn't drinking fast enough, even if I give her three or four days between watering. By the next day, she looks droopy again. So, I bought the irrigation kit and set it to about half what the recipe recommends to see if I can just gradually bring her moisture down without starving her. Don't have a ton of hope for that since nothing I've done so far has helped lol. We'll see. She's growing pretty well regardless and is showing some preflowering signs. No pistils quite yet

Gamerdad520 I'd like to publicly apologize to the drip irrigation kit for doubting it. After a few days of only dripping for 10 minutes to slowly dry out and reset the medium, I changed the schedule to drip for 10 minutes every four hours. The change was immediate and drastic. She looks phenomenal. Now that she's healthier, I finally gave the under canopy a bit of a cleanup, giving any side branches a decent lollipop and taking off anything that absolutely wasn't going to make it out of the middle. Probably not looking to do much more beyond taking off a few more fan leaves when she stops stretching. Earlier this week, I opened the tent and caught a lil whiff of kush and gas. Her buds are starting to show some early structure, as well as a pink-purple twinge right out of the gate. I'm really excited to see how this turns out now that she's responding so well to the floraflex and drip irrigation
