cornbreadsquirrel 35l reservoir
day 1 (11.04):
- gave 14ml of bio-down to lower reservoir pH by 2 full points. Guess-timating to get close to 6.0 pH (I think - using strips and I'm really bad at the color)
- gave cannazym 2 days to establish self in the reservoir before adding any other nutrients, 2 days after germination
day 3:
- the pH meter I ordered arrived finally. Saw the slight yellowing of leaves and knew I had a pH problem but couldnt be exact before. Measurements were exact this time and it was 7.9 pH!!! HOLY COW I was so off with the color of the strips (maybe I'm color blind?)
- 14ml bio down - brought pH down to 5.27
- 8ml bio up - brought pH up to 5.8 stable - perfect! 😊
day 4:
8pH again when I woke up. Changed res and sanitized everything even though it smelled fine - cannot keep pH down and don't know why.
day 5:
7.41 pH when I woke up @ 9:00.
giving plenty of ph down to bring it down to within the healthy range of 5.5 - 5.8, then I check 1 hour later and it's gone back up. By 15:30, I had given ph down at least 3 times to this res.
I learned that with really hard water, it will 'bounce back' after a short amount of time if using a weak ph down solution. I was using BioBizz, which was simply a citric acid. That acid would bring down the hard water for a short amount of time, but it wasn't strong enough to keep the entire solution at a certain pH.
I went to the grow shop down the road and grabbed a pH - solution that uses phosphoric acid. I brought the ph down to 5.4 in the evening and it held for many hours - looks promising.
day 6:
5.6pH in the morning!!!! I have solved my pH issues that have plagued every single grow since I began!!
added some silica now that I can manage the pH better.
day 7:
6.0pH. Now it is much more stable and easy to keep in range I want

cornbreadsquirrel Day 9:
beautiful roots forming :)
Topped up with 4 liters of solution (it did not use this much in this amount of time. when I re-did the reservoir last week, I put 7 less liters of water in it to save my back a little haha)
Gave another 20mL of CANNAZYM to the res to decrease likelihood of root rot. I can see slight browning on two roots which are in the pump stream permanently. The other roots have almost reached the solution, at that point I will turn off the pump.

cornbreadsquirrel Day 15:
Res change day!! She's exploding, so time to up the nutrients. As well, I add a bunch of beneficial bacteria to stave off any root rot (voodoo juice). I didn't realize that cannazym isn't beneficial bacteria, but only enzymes
Looking Good interessting Phenos as well ! Keep up the Great work your Ladys will love it :D looking Foward for your Diarie in the Next Weeks .Maybe take a look at my Newest Week of "Sweet Seeds Forest " ? I would Really apreciate that:D nice Setup btw
