Phaleg "Crossing together" fingers and 2 different moon calendars, I started on APR 12 to germinate my seeds from Royal Queen Seeds. It is first time that I try this brand, so I am excited 👻 On APR 15, all seeds but Silver Haze hatched properly, I am optimistic that also Silver Haze will hatch soon because I saw some whitening around the seeds! NOTE ABOUT MY DIARY: I will grow my seeds in a balcony about 1.000m above the sea level, for now they are germinating inside the oven with the wet paper system, with a wrapping bag. I will try to keep the diary as updated as possible, providing also growing details, size of growing pots and so on. I am a medical patient and I will add a final note about effects for glaucoma / increased eye pressure and insomnia, anxiety and depression. On APR 15, all seeds but Silver Haze hatched properly, I am optimistic that also Silver Haze will hatch soon because I saw some whitening around the seeds!

Phaleg The last 2 weeks weren't that exciting, temperature went down here, even if in the night I keep the plants indoor, daily temperature was also lower and mostly cloudy or overcast, so not so many hours of sunlight and the small plants did not grow visibily. I attach photos and a video, you can read the strain names on the pot, the black ones are Do-Si-Dos auto and the small in the red pot is Lemon Shining Silver Haze. For honor of the truth, I must say that the Lemon Shining Silver Haze, I got for free from a different type of purchase last year, so this can be the reason why only 1/2 hatched and why it is so different from others. I might eventually choose to exclude this strain from this year growth.

Phaleg Another chilly week was here, with often overcast weather and plants grew very little. ICE grew the most, maybe because of the bigger starting pot they have or because they require less warm and sun compared to the others. DO SI DOS AUTO are the smallest so far, maybe because it is an auto or because the starting pot is smaller. WHITE WIDOW are doing average compared to the others while COOKIES GELATO I had to reduce to 1 out of 2 for necessity of space and logistic. (!) Please note that these are just the starting pot. I normally move them to larger pots when they have at least 5 or 7 pointed leaves. Best will be selected to grow in larger pots and the other will be free to grow in Nature, like Queen Isabel of Spain said to Cristoforo Colombo: "please spread this plant" (initially said because hemp was used to create sails and material for sailing the sea)

Phaleg Today was "the day", I had to select some ot them for reason of space and discretion and the selected plants have been moved to bigger pots, as it follows: Do-Si-Dos (auto), clay pot about 15L = 10cm height (the other one showing already pre-flowering was discarded) Cookies Gelato, 9,5L pot = 10cm height White Widow, 9,5L pot = 11cm height 2x ICE, 9,5L pot + 12,5L pot for the second = 11-12cm height (I kept both because they were both amazing!) The choice of the pot volume was based on the expected height to be discrete, which should be max 80cm and ChatGPT helped me to calculate the pot volume (it suggested me 7,5 to 10L), but I was slightly more generous especially with the auto-flowering. Last year my Sticky Orange auto got the best yield with the same clay pot, so I tried the same :P

Phaleg Warmer temperature here also in the mountains now and plants are getting more sun and growing better. These are their height in cm, photos will show how they look and grow. I noticed that Do-Si-Dos auto is already showing signs of flowering, despite it is still short, but plants know better ^^ 2x ICE = 25 & 27 cm White Widow = 24 cm Cookies Gelato = 23 cm Do-Si-Dos Auto = 22 cm

Phalegstarted grow question 2mo ago
Some of my plants (ICE & White Widow) are developing a strange trend to lean away from sun. Balcony is exposed to S, but they bend to N. Should I correct it with tutor? I am concerned that the flowering weight will bend them down. I upload photos, please HELP 😅

Viel erfolg

Phaleg Warmer weeks are back! Plants got some minor defoliation to clean the bottom part from tiny branches and leaves that were touching the ground and hindering the watering process. 2x ICE = 50cm each, (+8cm from last week) WW = 54cm, (+15cm from last week) Cookies Gelato = 52cm (+13cm from last week) Do-Si-Dos auto = 37cm (+4cm from last week)

Phaleg This is first week that I try to make them flower, with 12 hours of darkness and 12 of light. Reason is that they are growing taller than the setting location I have. ICE = 58 and 60cm (almost +10cm from last week) WW = 64cm (+10cm from last week) COOKIES GELATO = 63cm (+11cm) Do-Si-Dos auto = 37cm (same as last week, but it is already 3 or 4 weeks flowering)

Phaleg After last warmer week, we got a fresher one now. On June 30th, I started the 12/12 to make them flower. I already see some signs of white barbs, so I guess they started to flower or to prepare for it. Comparing data from last report that was 10 days ago (I missed one week of diary), this is the situation: 2x ICE = 67cm (+9cm) and 72cm (+12cm) White Widow = 80cm (+16cm) Cookies Gelato = 85cm (+22cm) Do-Si-Dos auto = 39cm (+2cm), this was already flowering because of automatic genes.

Hi! Is it worth to defoliate or do anything on these 4 strains? I upload photos of each (the one with clay pot is an Auto) and description details can be found in last page of my diary. Thanks for the help and PEACE! 😊

Hey 👋 I would not suggest to remove any leaves if not really necessary. Your plants structure lets the light enter each part of the plant from what I can see. Me personally I only remove the leaves which do not get any light or which shade the buds so light can not enter them. If I would remove Any I would take the lowest ones as written previously. They would disturb me while watering, so those can be removed. Hope this helped 👊🍀👋 Enjoy your journey !

Phaleg After a previous fresher week, heat is back and daytime temperature reach 25-27° C again, plants are now flowering and the only automatic is close to be ready (about 2 weeks left I think). I will inspect triconomes with my lenses and microscope. 2x ICE 78cm (+6cm) & 69cm (+2cm) === No idea why this difference! White Widow 85cm (+5cm) Cookies Gelato 90cm (+5cm) Do-Si-Dos Automatic 39cm (same as last week)

Phaleg Quite warm and dry now here, even in our mountains that are 1000m of elevation (3280 feet)... Another evidence that climate changed, but oddly some people still don't agree that is happening much faster than it should be in Nature because of human activities! They get water twice a day, early morning and then in evening. 2x ICE = 70cm and 76cm (no changes) White Widow = 86cm (+1cm, no real changes) Cookies Gelato = 90cm (no changes) Do-Si-Dos auto = 39cm (no changes)

Phaleg Fresher again up here, I woke up with +12° today and yesterday... daytime it reaches about 20°, today maybe 24°C. Let's watch their heights: 2x ICE = 72cm and 78cm (+2cm from last week) White Widow = 87cm (+1cm) Cookies Gelato = 92cm (+2cm from last week) Do-Si-Dos automatic = 39cm (SAME last week) I added photos of the plants and photos of the main colas of them... in previous diary page you can find the micro-photos of the last week tricomes.

Phaleg Howdy from the mountains! Plants kept their height and the small negative difference is due to me adding some ground to the pots. I noticed that their fan leaves are getting yellow now, probably due to the close end of their living cycle. I try not to remove them unless they are completely dry and they fall to the ground. 2x ICE = 70-76cm (stable) WW = 85cm (stable) COOKIES GELATO = 91cm (stable) NQ auto = 40-47cm (Do-Si-Dos auto was harvested on saturday and is already drying, I created the page for the harvest)

Week 17. Harvest

Happy Harvest Day!

I will share my humble opinion and experience about growing Dos-Si-Dos Auto from Royal Queen Seeds. Seeds hatched on April 12 and were moved to pots on April 15. The automatic flowering plants had their vegetation stage probably affected by a more humid and fresh season than usual and I believe that this is the reason why the plant stayed so little, compared to other autos that I had in past. When I harvested the plant on Saturday August 2nd and I emptied the pot from the ground, I noticed that the plant had a very little root system, most of the roots were about to be in my closed fist and the rest of the ground looked almost untouched. From seed (April 12) to harvest (August 02), it took 112 days with one plant that shows 72g (2,54 ounces) as fresh harvest on the scale. Plant showed a simple pattern with only one main central site for the buds and 2 minor branches (see photos). I will update the page later with the dry weight and some comments on flavor and effect.

Phaleg Another warmer week is here, we got up to +35°C during the day, during previous days. I remember the feedback I got about defoliate, so I did not do it by purpose, but simply these plants have the ability to defoliate themselves during the second part of flowering. Many fan leaves got first yellow, then dry and the plants absorbed the energy back from the leaves until the stem got dried until the edge and it fell spontaneously. I feel that somehow this trend exposed more to sun the buds, but I am glad to collect your feedback about it. I also noticed that most leaves, expecially from ICE, show a pattern of tiny dots on the leaves, maybe they are just getting old? Would some water infused with turmeric (or baking soda) be of any help? About their height, it stayed stable: ICE = 71 and 77cm (no changes) White Widow = 88cm (no changes) Cookies Gelato = 91cm (no changes)
