therealgrowmie What’s up, fellow Growmie! This is where our grow journey starts. I’ve placed the Thunderfuck automatic seeds from Royal Queen Seeds into moisturized BioBizz All-Mix soil. As you can see, I’m going with soil for this grow since it’s my first time. The soil should contain all the necessary nutrients for the plants to reach the flowering stage, so it should be smooth sailing! I added a layer of mulch to help maintain moisture in the soil. I’m not entirely sure if that’s necessary for an indoor environment, but it can’t hurt. I’m running a 120cm x 60cm x 180cm Mars Hydro tent, which is excellent quality. In addition, I’ve got an oscillating fan and a 4-inch duct fan to prevent stagnant air. That’s all for now! Since this is my first grow, we’ll have to identify and solve problems as they come up. That said, I do have a solid understanding of plants ;-)

therealgrowmie **Party time—**all three seeds have sprouted! I’m gently watering the plants, and it turns out that the ring formed by the mulch works perfectly as a visual guide for where not to water. This helps me avoid flooding the still-fragile seedlings. Again, I’m not sure if it’s necessary, but that’s how I’m rolling for now. Now let’s get down to the stats. I’ve done a fair share of theory, and I’m aiming for an ideal VPD. For the early vegetative phase, I’m targeting a VPD of 0.5 kPa. That translates to around 85% relative humidity at about 28°C. For light intensity I am aiming for 200 to 300 PPFD. Watering is every other day to keep the soil moist and prevent it from turning hydrophobic.

therealgrowmie Everything is going swimmingly! The plants are putting on astounding growth, so I’m starting to set up a watering schedule—beginning with 1L per plant every third day. I also sprinkle the topsoil with water now and then to prevent it from becoming hydrophobic. I turned up the light intensity to 400 to 500 PPFD.

therealgrowmie Besides the absolutely rocket-paced growth, there’s not much to do at this point. Watering remains the same as last week. We now have a second layer of leaves forming, which means even more photosynthesis—great progress!

therealgrowmie Now this is where things get interesting. According to the growth cycle of autoflowers, we’re now hitting the end of the vegetative phase, and the first flowers are starting to form. The plants have developed an even canopy and look relatively bushy. I reckon this favors an indoor setup, since the light comes straight from above with little to no diffusion—aside from reflections off the inner tent walls. I am aiming for a VPD between 0.7 and 0.8 kpa now to support plant growth! I’ve adjusted the watering schedule to 1.5L per plant every third day from now on—bigger plants, bigger thirst! Bonus: Tomatoes and an absolute Hulk of a parsley plant!

therealgrowmie Alrighty, the fun part’s over—now it’s time to dial things in. The plants seem to have used up the nutrients in the soil and now require a different feeding approach for the flowering stage. But hey, you’ve got to grow to know, and the fix is simple. From now on, I’m fertilizing once a week with BioBizz organic nutrients, following the provided feeding schedule. I’m sticking to the basic components only. I’ve also added some calcium and magnesium, as the lower fan leaves are showing signs of deficiency. Since the plants have become quite bushy, I pruned the lower third over a few sessions—spreading out the stress and avoiding cutting too much at once. Lastly, I’ve set the oscillating fan to medium intensity to prevent stagnant air. The duct fan is now tuned to maintain a VPD between 0.7 and 0.8 kPa.

therealgrowmie The two plants on the right have put on a nice stretch, with plenty of bud sites forming across all three plants. From here on, I’ll be intensifying the leaf-tucking, as the larger fan leaves are shading quite a few of the lower sites. Maybe I should’ve pruned a bit more aggressively—but hey, it’s all part of the learning curve!

therealgrowmie Now this is where the fun starts! What initially looked like three plants with lackluster growth is now turning into an assortment of beautiful colas. Bud sites are popping up all over the place! From this point on, I’ve added an extra fan to improve airflow, and I’m aiming for a VPD above 1.0 kPa to support healthy bud development.

therealgrowmie The canopy is developing nicely, although the plant on the far left has a bit of an odd shape. That said, it's packed! At this point, we’re just waiting for the buds to start bulking up. Side note: The tomato had to go—space is precious in the tent!

therealgrowmie Autumn is coming, Growmies—at least in our tent environment! The bottom leaves are starting to put on a beautiful fade, while the buds are stacking up day by day. We can see clearly now the rain... that we’re in for a sweet harvest in just a couple of weeks! Airflow is crucial from here on out, and since I’m not taking any chances with mold, I’ve dropped the VPD to maintain a steady humidity below 55%.

therealgrowmie It’s looking fantastic, fam! The top leaves are turning a gorgeous purple now, which—not only stunning to look at—also highlights the massive central cola beautifully. I’ve elevated the left plant to even out the light distribution across the canopy. In hindsight, I probably should’ve done that a bit earlier!

therealgrowmie It’s been one hell of a ride! No Thunderfucks given—these plants have stacked up flowers beautifully. This looks like it’s going to be a plentiful harvest for my very first indoor grow. Last year’s greenhouse run was kind of a disaster (mold city!), but this time I came prepared—and it shows! The harvest window should open any day now. I’m aiming to harvest right at peak THC, so I’m keeping a close eye out for mostly cloudy trichomes. I’ve also been removing dead leaves here and there to reduce the risk of mold, and I’ve officially stopped feeding—flush mode activated.

Re post the question in a week with the same quality pictures as this question, we'll have a better idea then. Also be prepared that it may be close to harvest time when you re post the question. Until then have fun watching her bulk up.

therealgrowmie We’re closing in on the harvest window, as the flowers are looking ready any day now! Big thanks to the more experienced growers in this community—I managed to hold back the urge to chop early. Appreciate the guidance! I’ll give it at least another week, use the time to prep for harvest, and get everything ready for a proper tent clean once the fruits are safely stashed in jars. Until next week and possibly harvest-day! Bonus: Chilis!
