Natrona Sour Jealousy Auto FastBuds 2025 Outside Grow
April 1-5 Germination
April 1-I put 1seed in glass of filtered water with 7.5 ml Hydrogen Peroxide in a dark cabinet. Watered each pot with 2 liters of ph water to get the soil dampened.
April 2 The seed is still floating
April 3pm I see a small crack in the shell. A good sign.
April 4 I see a little tail on the seed. Into the prepared final 5-gallon air pot. The soil is 40% Happy Frog, 40% Coast of Maine and 20% Mushroom compost. I added Dynomyco to the bottom 2/3 of the soil blend. I sterilized my long nose tweezers and carefully put them tail down into the soil. Dripped 15ml distilled water over the seed area and covered with a clear dome.

Sour Jealousy Auto
April 6-12 Veg week 1
Popped the soil on April 7.
Since I was not planning on a new diary since I’m growing the FastBuds tester 2502 I did not take many pictures early on as therefore do not have a full picture set for week 1 but I just found out there was an outside FastBuds contest 2025: so here I am.
I started one seed from the seeds won in the diary of the month contest.
The weather for the last 2 weeks has been roller-coaster. When I planted Sour Jealousy, the outside temperatures were in the mid 60s during the day and upper 50s at night. Ending the week with the days hitting the high 80s and low 90’s and nights in the upper 50s and 60s. Spring has sprung. Or has it? This is Hampton Roads in coastal Virginia.; our weather changes frequently hourly and sometimes a 50 degree swing overnight.
Week of 6th -12th was a return to winter. Temperatures dropped overnight to day temperatures in low 50s and at night in the mid 30s. Whoa winter is back. I put row covers over the raised vegetable garden bed and extended the cover over my outside plants. Fingers crossed and hoped for the best. Over these past two weeks, the temperatures ranged from 33 to 91f. Heat and humidity are the nemeses for my outside grows.
I do not ph the water I use for my outside garden since I use well water.
These first 2 weeks, I only watered no nutrients. I cover the plants with a dome to keep humidity and protect them from squirrels and rabbits.

April 13-19 Veg week 2
Well, my little girl survived the drop in temperatures last week but the cold slowed her growth and development. The weather is returning to our seasonal temperatures this week. Low of 39 at night and high of 87. Looks like Spring has come to stay.
4/19 pics taken, including a garden visitor. No, he did not crawl into the pot, I put him there, then put him back into the garden.

Week 3 April 20-26 Veg
This week was mostly sunny in the mid-eighties and low 60s at night with an occasional drop into the low 50s. I added kelp fertilizer to the water twice during the week. She is about 3 inches tall. I have had her under a dome for these past two weeks. This week, after heavy rain, I removed it for good since the leaves were touching the sides. Hopefully no renegade squirrels trample her.

Week 4 April 27-May 3 Veg
Not much to say. Our weather is roller coaster. One day high of only 72 and low of 44 while most of the others in the mid-80s and low in the 50s. Most of the days were sunny and there was one day of thunderstorms. I can see with the erratic conditions; she has not grown as full and leafy as she should have by now. She only grew about an inch and now 6" tall. I fed kelp and TPS1 once this week.
The last pic is a heron i saw in our ditch.

Week 5 May 4-10 Veg
I topped dressed with lime and stirred into the top followed by rain for 2 days.
I fed with 4ml/g TPS1. Sour Jealousy is next to 2 photos and RQS Apollo Auto. All were planted at the same time and she is the shortest of them all.
Temps ranged from 71-88f and mid 50s at night,

Week 6 May 11-17 Veg
Sour Jealousy remains in veg at 6 weeks with no hairs or buds in sight. She is a sativa hybrid, and they say sativas take longer to go into flower. She is 12 inches tall now. This week’s weather has been rainy and will continue thru the weekend. May started out in the 90s but has steadily fallen over the past two weeks. Maintaining temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70’s
These temperatures are below our average upper 70s-to 80s.
I noticed some spots on a leaf but the other outside girls don’t show any spots.
Side note: outside growing isn't easy. I found cabbage worms on my Brussels sprouts. Hope my outside girls get stinky to protect my vegetables.

VERY VERY BAD WORMS!!!😡😡😡 THERE ARE SOME VERY VERY GOOD COMPANION PLANTS THAT REPEL DAT MOTH THAT LAY EGGS. PLANTS LIKE CHAMOMILE AND BORAGE ARE VERY VERY GOOD!! YOU CAN EVEN USE CAYENNE PEPPER AROUND THE BASE OF THE PLANTS!!! VERY VERY GOOD!!!!😎
@HinduGod, Thanks for the organic advice. I've got both of those planted slightly further away. Do I need to plant companions next to the vulnerable ones?
