NateLay I initially placed one seed in each Jiffy, but after 8 days, nothing happened—most likely due to excess moisture. Unfortunately, the same happened with the second seed. 😞
For the third Jack Herer seed, I tried the water soak method, but after four days, the seed was still closed.
I then switched to the paper towel method: I placed a damp paper towel in a ziplock bag to retain moisture and put it on a heater.
After two days, the seed popped and was transferred into a Jiffy and placed in the grow box.
After one day, the seed came out of the ground but looked "strange".
One day later I decided to remove the seed shell by hand.

NateLay After manually removing the seed shell the previous days, I decided to just leave it in the Jiffy and see how it would develop over the next few days.
To my delight, I noticed that after just one day, the taproot had grown out of the Jiffy.
So I decided it was time to move her to her final home: an 11-liter fabric pot.
I will use this day as Day 1 of vegetative phase.
I have the light set to 40% at a distance of 40 cm, which should equal around 360–400 PPFD.
