Phaleg Medical patient is here, these seeds are my hope against insomnia and that explain the title growing in a balcony about 1000m above the sea level, plants will be indoor for the nights May 6, I put the seeds to germinate in the usual wet paper towel system May 8, after only 2 days, both seeds showed a pleasant root and are not in their pots, waiting to see their cotiledona to upload the photos :)

Phaleg Long and chillier week here, plants has been kept indoor in the night and outside during the day. Both sprouted but oddly one of them, stayed with the seed on top for more than a week, like a cap. I also noticed that the leaves and the cotiledona were smothered for several days and in the end, I politely removed the cap while holding the stem to free the green parts. Now they are opening but I wonder what happened if I kept it like this.

Phaleg The 2 plants have different height, the one who had before the seed shell as a cap on it for longer time, is behind the other in growth, just 1cm but also leaves are behind. I will wait that they have couple of 5 pointed leaves first before moving to bigger pots.

Phaleg With warmer temperature, plants are growing better and enjoying the sun, they grew up to 12-13 cm each and I am just waiting to see couple of 5 healthy points leaves to move to bigger pots. One of them, showed 2 batch of 3 pointed leaves in a row, I will post a question about it, because it seems odd to me!

I have always seen Cannabis showing a constant patter in the leaves sequence. After the cotiledona, they have first 1 point only , then 3, then 5, then 7 and so on, with Indica normally up to 7-9 and sativas up to 9+. I noticed repeating 3 pointed leaves, photo in week 6

she's pretty small for 6 weeks. Her growth is being stunted. From your diary stats it's to cold outside and very low humidity. She needs temps in the 70"s and humidity over 50% at the least.

This is a corerlation not a gaurantee, but it typically relates to health and stress levels of the plant. When healthy it'll progress each node with increasing number of fingers per leaf. Training or pruning can set this progression back, but should get back on track, all other factors remaining the same. Poor balance in nutrition will prevent it from progressing at all or cause weird number of leaves or missing the two small ones etc etc.. Genetics.. sometimes it's genetics too. your plant looks healthy, so are you acclimating it to the sun after being started indoors? that sort of thing could hit the pause button. maybe, iit's s ust a plant that doesn't easily get to 11 or 13 lobes. fast growth, healthy leaves... good bud development later. These are far more important things to observe. If this is happening don't worry too much about how many fingers it has. If anything is imbalanced, you will see symptoms at some point over 3-4 months. The other stuff you can't control anyway

1,3,5,7,9,11,13. Sometimes she will skip 5 goes straight to 7. Seen 11 a few times on my photoperiods but never a 13, not exactly sure what dictates sequence, generally speaking the smoother she grows the more fingers she develops but I can't say that with confidence being reason why.

Phaleg This week was slighly fresher and more rainy, the "girls" got a larger pot and now enjoy their space. They are starting to show the white barbs that signal the beginning of the flowering. From next week I will start to count the weeks as flowering! Height is 21cm for one and 23cm for the other :)
