Starting off GREEN BODHI"S (not Bodhi seeds) Dogwalker OG x Tangie. Six out of six seeds popped, lost one somehow (like I did last year...). Looking for 2 females out of this bunch. Currently in solo cups with Green Mountain Compost potting soil and pH'ed tap water under 60w bulbs.
Once May hits I'm hoping to have them outside in 20gal smart pots in the hoop house with super soil, compost tea, and cover crops. They'll be growing alongside 2 Mephisto Sweet n' Sour (Toof Decay x Sour Stomper) in 5 gal pots, and 30 tomato plants (10 Pink Boar, 10 Supernova Cherry, and 10 Oxheart)
Plants stretched 3" from the previous week. Decided to bury stems right up to cotyledons. First fan leaves have appeared. Number two (top) is still the furthest ahead followed by #5 and #6 (bottom two). Number 1 and #3 are the slowest. PPM in my water is very low (under 100) so ill need to start feeding them. My ECSD x Stardawg Bonzai is yellowing, been needing to repotted for a while, hoping to pick up an airpot soon. Also hoping to start framing the hoop house next week.
Hey all, sorry for the break in posts. Separated two possible males from the others who are not yet showing sex. Grew a puppy a few weeks ago named Bo. Filled up two 30gal pots with 1/3 diy supersoil from Subcool and topped with 2/3 Root Organics 707. Sprinkled Hairy Vetch and Row 7 Beauregard snowpeas on the top layer for cover crop and topdressed with Grokashi then topped with straw. Haven't transplanted yet but will probably be good to go next week. Saw some nute burn so this week is pH'd H2O. I have also top dressed the 3gal pots with Growkashi. The 5gal smartpots have Mephisto Sweet n' Sour with the same soil formula ratio, and cover crop as the 30gal pots.
The last picture shows what else is going in the garden. Row 7 Seeds: Habananda Pepper, Beauregard snow pea, 898 experimental squash, Robins Konigut squash, Tetra experimental cuke. High Mowing Seeds: ±600 Resina Calendula, Pinwheel Marigold, Renegade Spinach, SS141 Snap Pea, Pink Boar tomato, Supernova Cherry tomato, lemon basil, mizuni mustard, greenwave mustard, redbor kale. Renee's Garden: Musquee de Provenve squash, Oxheart tomato. Random: Sunflower Seeds
Potted up to 30 gallons smart pots a lot of N deficiency were gonna work out. Ordered some seabird guano and kelp meal to go along with work castings and compost to start making teas and get off the general organics. Did a lactic acid foliar spray. Here's the hoop house for those interested.
Long time no see everybody! Found out one is a girl this week, other one hasn't shown yet but both are doing well. Been feeding 4 gallons each of 50/50 compost tea and water.
Making about 15 gallons of tea a week for these guys as well as the rest of the garden. The recipe goes as follows per 5 gallons: 1 cup earthworm castings (black dirt farm), 1/3 cup bat guano (down to earth 9-3-1), 1/3 cup seabirrd guano (down to earth 0-11-0), 5 TBS, 2 TBS langbeinite (down to earth 0-0-22), unsulfured molasses (grandmas brand), liquid kelp (blue planet nutrients .3-.2-.1), 5 TBS fish emulsion (neptune harvest 2-4-1) just got it today haven't used it yet, and 1 cup grokashi. Internode spacing is getting super tight, it has been super hot (for the northeast) the past two weeks but they're all looking good. Have a few spider lads in the mix which are doing a pretty good job so far (few snails here and there). Both mephisto's are in week 3/4 of flower and are looking pretty good minus a nitrogen deficiency so they've been getting the same veg formula tea. Cleaned out the greenhouse and all the tomatoes are in the ground. Were on autopilot now til flower starts mid-August.
thanks for sharing your compost tea recipe. And love that internodal spacing!
do you add langbeinite to the tea while your plants are still in veg or only during flower? And how much? (the amount seemed confusing: 5tbs/2tbs)? Been wanting to try working with it but it seems complex.
those are good look spiders too
