ManikShamanik Hello everyone, another diary incoming. This time outdoor guerilla grow in the northern side of the planet at 60° north latitude. Summer here is quite short thats why I chose autoflowers cause they can just about have enough time to develop and produce beautiful flowers. Started GMO auto 7th May and Moby Dick auto 12th may. There is huge difference in size considering moby only rose from the soil 7 days ago and is more than double the size of GMO. Reason is that moby was started in organic, good quality potting soil and GMO started with BioBizz Coco-Mix. My experience with starting plants in Coco-Mix is not good, they grow slow and seem to almost like they are nutrient blocked or smth. In potting soil they grow much better and with the just right amount of slowly released nutrients.. First week gave them BioBizz Root-Juice and BioProffa EM-microbes. They are in Autopot-system with 19l fabric pots and 30l tank (added later).

ManikShamanik At the beginning of week 3 (for MD) I gave them bat guano tea with EM micro-organisms, acti-vera and bio grow. Also sprayed the leafs with EM. GMO is going to be minifeno since the beginning was so slow. Moby Dicks are growing really well.

ManikShamanik They have grown a lot in week even tho the weather wasn't the best (couple rainy and cold days). I took the autopot water reservoir(30 liters) there so won't have to go there so often from now on. Going there isn't without a risk also because there is high vegetation aroun the area and I have seen a viper there and there is also ticks(one was in my clothing today). They have began to show signs of flowering by now, except the GMO which is still in veg. Started giving biobloom this week. Hopefully they will begin to go full flower asap cause theres only about 2 months of season left here in the north. Update. Found plagron power buds sample that I got as a sample from buying grow accesories from a local grow shop. I 10 liters water to the reservoir with 10 ml of this biostimulant in it. Hopefully this will accerelate the flowering phase. We'll see. Never used it before.

ManikShamanik 16 days since my last visit and what a growth lol. They have probably grown to their full size now (expect the GMO which has only now started to show pistils). Moby dick are huge, they are about 1.5 meter tall with big leaves (see the picture). Very nice branching as well. There was a storm earlier and was afraid that they would fall but they only were in slight tilt. I put a wooden stick in the soil and tied them to it so they will hopefully stay straight now. Very nice dark green color, clearly healthy plants they are. Bloom period has really started now.

ManikShamanik Had to visit them again soon after last visit cause I wasn't sure if they will stay standing, since they were so unstable. I went there with some thread and did tie them from 3 different angles. Now they should stay standing even if windy. They are now in full flowering mode and won't be growing anymore. Reservoir is almost full (around 25l of 30l) and it will rain alot tomorrow so it's probably going to fill it almost to the brim. This means I don't have to visit them for atleast couple of week from now but we'll see if something comes up. But probably wont.

ManikShamanik I filled the water reservoir with 15l of the nutrient solution. GMO grew to be almost as big as Moby Dicks. Or she may be still growing a bit since the flowering started only maybe a week a go or so. Strange how she grew so slow and didn't minipheno. I thought that if you don't get a good start for autos they will stay small, but not in this case. She is very healthy looking plant. And so are the moby dicks expect they had a little bit of powdery mildew on their leaves but not too much. My tying last time did the job and they have stayed standing.

ManikShamanik Wen to fill up the water reservoir afraid that they might be dehydrated cause it's been pretty dry and really hot weather lately. But they wasn't, since nature gave quite the shower couple days ago, otherwise they would have been completely dehydrated. They should be at around last third of the flowering cycle at this moment, maybe even bit further. Atleast the mobys. GMO is well into the flower by now but would need another 6-7 weeks. Since we have only about till mid august summer here, I might have to take her down bit early and make edibles from her. Al in all everything going pretty smooth, happy plants, happy gardener. Peace.

ManikShamanik It's been such a hot weather that I decided to visit them bit earlier than planned. Mobys are now in the ripening phase. Thing is, it has been hot and humid night which means grey mold will begin forming. Actually in one of the main buds of the yellow moby (left in the picture) there was a little beginning of mold so I took the bud and removed the mold and now I am drying it. I guess I have to harvest them bit early as usual. Since after the beginning of august the weather always becomes moist, it's the same every year. We even call the august rotten month. Only way to get really ripe buds here is to find place where wind blows and no other plants are near, like ledge. I have grown on a ledge couple of times and there mold becomes in one month delay compared to more greener areas, where the is lot of vegetation. Thanks for reading and supporting with all the likes and comments, it is nice to see this project has got some recognition from fellow growers. Thanks everyone and happy growing.

60 N is way far North. I’m at 53 N in Edmonton Canada and that’s far North for cannabis. Good luck, and looks it like you’re doing fine. At your latitude, you might try UV lights for ripening and far red light at dusk as a bloom booster. I guess those don’t help for a guerrilla grow…oh well.

The AutoPot system with fabric pots sounds perfect for a guerilla grow

@JackB420, hmm, yeah. It seems to work pretty well. I've once used them before and the plants grew really well(except they we're on 15l plastic pots that time). + U don't have to go to the hard reached place all the time to water when it's hot weathers.

GMO can be a bit slower to start sometimes, especially in coco... Let’s see if it catches up once roots settle in the autopot 💧
ManikShamanik
ManikShamanikcommented2mo ago
@Em1Clark, All the plants I had in coco had really slow start, so I don't think its because of the strain. As of last time I visited the spot (17.6) she still didn't even show her hairs. Hopefully she well have rapid flowering once she begins, cause the season here for cannabis ends at around 15-20th of august. After that they usually start molding heavily. Depends of the season of course, cause they vary by year.
