RzUdoo Finally the Outdoor season is here.... Because of the regulations here up north, We , the growers have to be very careful, its very risky. But if you are wise and like being out in the wild a bit off, the nordic countries is full of greenspace. The tricky part is to find god spots as near to home as possible. Around Stockholm there is over 1000 islands. Many without any inhabitants.... I have chosen a couple, This diary is from one of the Islands,,,, A rocky steep and very uninviting place.... Close to everything... but almost never visited. It alsa have a history from Viking age that Estonian Pirates were slaughtered there by the Vikings in the year 700.... And since that day,,, their ghosts haunt the island, and never rest.
Not afraid of this things.... But i am glad it keep more people away.
This diary is about the 3 Mimosas. 3 out of 19 different cultivars i got on the island, I chosed these ones because they seam to thrive best so far.
Started a bit early,,, and some genetics didnt manage the cold start to well. But Mimosa Auto was one of them who did.
All planted in wild soil, mixed with a bit plantsoil with 5% Kow-shit(just a little). The rest i leave to mother-Nature.
The Island Spirit Guardian, The Sea-Eagle Will watch it over. ThanX

RzUdoo Looking good, The first time i see them in three weeks, and a lot of things have happened. They are all flowering well. 2 have streched out to about 65-70 cm, but 1 stayed small... See now that the spot is a bit shallow, and roots hitting rocks to fast, thas why it stayed small.
Delivering a pleasent aroma... a lot different from Mimosa i have grown indoors before. These ones have something extra.... Cant say for sure, But think it is the soil, and the rocks on the island and of course the lovely real Sunlight. And Fresh air😀😎
By the end of week 9 the island got invated by campers - tourists, so i i had to sneak by in the middle of the night and cut my plants, before they might find them. God thing is that most of the tops were already fully developed, only a few white terps left. Not the biggest yeald, but it really was hardy plants, surviving the cold 1may in Sweden, Still impressed how good this strain managed the cold, and lack of sun in the beginning of its cycle.
After drying it for 3 days, i had to try it out,,, and really love it! Taste of Orange, and Citrus flavours...
I will for sure re-order a big pack of this one for next year!

RzUdoo No pictures taken during harvest, because it was a secret night mission. Pictures are from the island. Old Formations of rocks from a long time ago.... Actually from the Viking-age
@Hazeykushhash, Yes man, You could still do it you know... it s a hole different thing. And a good connection with mother earth in so many ways. Makes you start checking the weather in new ways, and it´s cycles. Just added new thinking too, including the Moon-Cycle when to saw, plant and harvest. got inspiration from old time farming bible,Old Farmer's Almanac, Not taking it deadly serious, but some things in there is really wourth considering,,, not knowing where everything really came from, these methods have bean used for centuries, working well. Worth considering i belive. Respect to the elders. Love Growing it all!!! Update from the Island coming sooon!!
