Week 15, concluding the fourth week of flowering:
Hi(gh) Guys,
This week Iβd plan to remove all off the support, but the Honey Cream is producing such heavy colaβs and Iβm really scared to lose one. So Iβd opted to leave a cross to keep supporting the branches underneath. The branches are tied down long enough to stay in their position without stretching back, so removing all of the lower sticks and strings cleans up quite a bit. A few lower branches actually did grow high enough, and therefor keep the need for support, as you can see from the pictures.
After removing some underdeveloped stuff, the final score is 44 branches between the 9 plants, with an average of 4,889 branches per plant. There are still a few branches that Iβll know next time to remove them, but for now letβs see how they come out. The most important thing is that there is at least enough space between them for light to penetrate and air to flow around. So +/- 40 colaβs on 80x80cm is pretty good, that would mean you could grow +/- 60 on 100x100cm.
They have 3 weeks until harvest. I see the buds growing with the day. Iβd make three photo moments this week, and Iβll put them in order so you can see the difference. Theyβre also producing a lot of trichomes, only the smell is still a little bit behind. Although while moving the pots around Iβd notice some stronger smelling ones. So I expect them being busy as ever growing bud, and soon turn over to swelling them and producing aromatic resin to cover them up, weβll see! ;-)
Iβm looking forward to see you back and check on the Honey Creamβs progress next week!
;-) Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
@James, what do you think, do the Honey Cream's continue growing bud, and then start smelling strong late in the cycle? Seems that the bud is still growing after 4 weeks of flowering. Grtz, Budcrack ;-)
@Satori_Hanso, thanks! Yeah, this is my best round ever, and the quality is also there. The bud is perfectly looking, feeling and smelling, now if it tastes and works great, than it's a winner! I guess that will be perfect too! Lucky me..π
@Satori_Hanso, What makes it difficult to awnser is because the Moonwalkers have such a strong smell. The Honey's are a strain like no other i'd had before, and it really cuts the normal cycle with 4 weeks, so the smell is developing late to begin with. But i'd notice that the smell is much more nuanced than the skunky moonwalkers. It really has a caramel like smell, and a good amount of the pheno's have a strong smell if you come close enough. I expect the smell to become strong this week. We'll see! ;-)
@ReinDeer, thanks, after this diary i'm going to explain only the changes i'm making to my M.O. but this diary is now the baseline. Take your advantage from it and thanks!
