Germination
1y ago
birdmountain It's time to start the autoflowers so that they can mature during the hottest weeks of summer. The plan is to make them as comfortable as possible at the beginning. They should grow quickly without transplanting. They are germinated in a paper towel, then transferred to the Eazy Plug and that’s it. The roots should grow into the pre-fertilised old plant soil. The plant soil consists of last year's soil, mixed with some garden soil containing clay, sand, and some perlite still contained in it. A 3% volume of fertiliser pellets should provide the necessary growth spurt until flowering begins. Then fertilise with either Plagron flower fertiliser or collected banana peels. Malted barley may also be added. Watering is only done with pure water from the cistern, as long as it lasts. I have only sown one seed because so far all the seeds have germinated. Wish me good luck 🍀🐞☀️💦 (I wish you good luck too!)

birdmountain Unfortunately, I made a mistake when placing the germinated seed into the EazyPlug and didn't plant it deep enough. As a result, part of the root has pushed out of the EazyPlug. I hope it will heal over time. So far, it doesn't seem to be a problem; the Sweet Bourbon Kush is developing well under the given circumstances. The attached drip irrigation is supposed to ensure even watering for the upcoming sunny days.

birdmountain So far, the Auto Sweet Bourbon Kush is developing splendidly in the greenhouse. I filled its pot with pre-fertilized potting soil to make watering easier, and now its roots can grow directly into the fertilized soil. She has an indica-like, strong, stocky build. She has recovered well from her previous setback of pushing her roots out of the Easy Plug. The leaves are shaped normally. I remedied a slight aphid infestation in the buds with neem oil. It will soon be time for bending and LST. I am very satisfied. Thank you for your visit, and have a great grow week!

birdmountain Due to vacation, just one photo for this week. She has grown well, filling the pot with soil has proven to be positive. No pests or anything like that.

birdmountain The lady is doing very well in the greenhouse and is enjoying her short time. She has even started to flower already. The main thing is that she gets enough water; everything else is still in the pot in terms of nutrients. Flowering nutrients will be used for the first time next week when the collected banana peels come into play.

birdmountain Auto Sweet Bourbon Kush surprises me. It has clearly overtaken the other autoflowers in terms of length growth. However, its side shoots are not yet as pronounced. To encourage flower formation, I used the prepared banana peel stock for the first time. I hope it has an effect. Overall, its leaves are a fresher, not quite as dark green as those of the Auto Candy Bubatz. I will adjust the fertilization depending on how it develops over the next few days. No diseases or particular abnormalities. Thank you very much for your visit!

birdmountain The Sweet Bourbon Kush is now also producing more flowers and minimizing height growth. I have only removed two of the large fan leaves to allow more light to reach the plant. Thanks for your visit and have a great grow week!

birdmountain The buds are now growing vigorously thanks to banana peels and nettles. I have stopped using other fertilizers. A few leaves were removed and a fan was installed, as the heavy rain and resulting humidity and stagnant air promote mold growth, especially at night. The end is in sight, with about 2.3 weeks to go until harvest. Hopefully it will get warmer and drier again!

birdmountain This strain surprises me, it hasn't shown any mold so far, unlike the other autoflowers. But I just discovered and removed a small spot while taking pictures. The buds look firm and resinous, and the smell has become strong. To keep it that way, it's also positioned in the direct wind of the fan and the water supply has been minimized. If it makes it to harvest in about two weeks, a good yield for outdoor is to be expected. But a lot can still happen before then. Thank you for your visit!

birdmountain ASBK is a very vigorous plant with buds evenly distributed throughout. It has a tart, sweet scent and the buds feel firm. The flowers are covered with white trichomes that have not yet turned amber. It is slightly more mold-resistant than Autoi Candy Bubatz and copes well in a foil tent with a fan, even though the humidity is higher there. Due to the weeks of rain, it did have some mold, which I cut out, but it shows no further outbreaks.🙏 It was only given water and banana peel broth, and its buds show that it works. I'm looking forward to the harvest. Thank you for visiting, and best wishes for a sunny and hot growing week—a heatwave is on the way.☀️

birdmountain After eleven weeks of growth and flowering, it's now time to harvest. Especially after the first high fog in August, which increases the humidity. I want to avoid mold. But it is ready now, the resin glands have at least turned milky. It exudes a sweet, slightly tart scent. I am excited to try smoking it. It was easy to grow, only the weeks of rain in the middle of summer affected it a little, but thanks to the fan, the damage was kept to a minimum. I am particularly excited about the Sweet Bourbon Kush scent during drying and later. Thank you very much for visiting!

Happy Harvest Day!

Vielen Dank dafür an Dutch Passion! --- Auto Sweet Bourbon Kush was easy to grow. There were no problems with germination or growth. It is a very strong, vigorous plant with thick petals. A better location in full sun would have yielded an even greater harvest. It developed some mold due to heavy rainfall combined with high humidity in the middle of summer, as did all autoflowering plants. The flowers are quite resinous when cut, with a sweet, woody scent. All in all, a completely unproblematic grow in a foil tent. Purely organic fertilization with nettle manure and banana peel broth during the flowering period resulted in thick buds. As desired, the root developed a strong taproot and the pot was completely rooted through. The attempt to place the seedling directly into the soil with the Eazy-Plug, which looked strange, was successful. However, it is noticeable that the roots only grew out of the taproot on two sides. The roots have therefore grown the shortest distance to the two opposite drippers. In this respect, three to four drippers would have been better because then the roots could have drawn more energy. The seeds were a free gift with an order from Dutch Passion. Many thanks to Dutch Passion for this!

birdmountain She went four days this week without any water addition and was able to use up the remaining nutrients. The leaves started to turn dark violet at the tips. Cutting without gloves turned out to be very easy; the buds were large, firm, and a bit resinous but not particularly sticky on the fingers.

@OnkelBonsai76, thanks, so far I'm just scraping along the bud rot. It shouldn't spread any further.

Not a huge harvest but I am certain you will have had some fire smoke from this, Super Sativa Seeds are one of my favourite breeders.
