FunkyNutz Starting 2 separate diaries because i want to separate the phenos and see how well it does with myzhorazae and without in my conditions.
This diary will be dedicated to growing without the beneficial fungi, for both grows i'll only be using :
-Plagron Cal-Mag PRO
- Canna COCO A & B
- Canna PK 13/14
- TopCrop Deeper Underground
Mediums for both grows will be the same :
-Plagron Premium COCO 65%
-Plagron Perlite 25%
-Plagron Mega Worm 10% (for future i'll only top dress with worm castings or skip them alltogether)
I only started taking pictures starting 24/05 so some pictures will be reused from old grows or V2.0 pheno.
16/05 - Soaked the seed in a glass of water for ~24H
17/05 - Placed it in a wet paper towel, that paper towel in a plastic box, but i left it slightly open. Box next to room heater
18/05 - By the end of the day 18/05 tap root was about 1cm long (SHORTER than in picture as the picture is from V2.0) so i planted it in coco seedling soil that i got from action, it has 0.6-0.9 EC range and 5.8-6.2 pH out of the box and mine read at 0.9EC + 5.9 pH, but my tap water is quite hard too and it reads at about 0.4-0.5 EC on its own. I planted the seed into that potting mix and let it sit in a dark warm place.
*DISCLAIMER*
The reason why i'm doing this transplanting situation is because it was my first time using worm castings and i didin't realise they work differently in coco and can throw off autoflowers during germination seedling stage (botched grow from before). This way i can do it very very seamlessly as soon as i see the taproot reach the bottom of the pot, i can see that because the white clay pot is lined with a flexible plastic pot that has holes at the bottom, for my use case, this is perfect, seamless and gives 0 stress to the plant when replanting because i leave that pot shaped hole in my main pot's substrate, it's literally plug and play.
*DISCLAIMER*
21/05 - Unfortunately i couldn't take any pictures until the 24th, but today i transplanted the seedling into the main pot and watered it in till runoff using 1.5ml/L of Calmag, Coco A n B, i watered down the solution to 810 µS/cm @ 5.5pH (keep in mind my tap water is at 470-500 µS/cm). Runoff read same EC, but pH due to worm castings is quite high, we'll see how this goes. Light is at about 80cm distance and 40% intensity, which resulted in around 200-230 ppfd according to the app i have, for the seedling stage i aim between 200 and 300 ppfd.
23/05 - Watered with same solution around the base of the plant for good measure, 200ml @ 810 µS/cm, 5.5pH.
24/05 - Added 2ml of calmag to the previous solution because i thought i diluted it too much (from 5L to 8L), looking back, should've left it as is even if no problems arose. Watered till runoff @ 880µS/cm, 5.8 pH, Runoff : 890µS/cm, 7.9pH
25/05 - Looking healthy, separation of leaves(blades) starting to happen.
26/05 - Watered till runoff using last solution @ 880 µS/cm 5.7 pH (Slight fluctuations due to evaporation and other time induced processes), Runoff : 890µS/cm, 7.9pH
End of Germination/Seedling stage, quite happy with how well the baby was growing.

FunkyNutz 27/05 - Today the plant looks ready to be called early veg in my opinion. (I like to call them early vegging when they're on track with their time schedule and hit the 3rd set of leaves), i lowered the lights to about 50CM distance and 60% intensity which brought it to about 334 ppfd, i like to keep 300-500 ppfd in veg, progressively going up as the plant grows.
Nute solution was :
5L -
5ml calmag pro,
5ml COCO A n B,
5ml Deeper underground.
EC came out to 1370 µS/cm, i felt like the plant is too young to be fed such a high EC even though nute EC was only about 850-900 µS/cm (accounting for ~500 µS from hard water), so i watered down the solution till EC came down to 1170 µS/cm, pH adjusted to 5.8 and watered till runoff, she's growing by the hour.
