lipiedealer Hey yall, this is my first grow so im open to some suggestions. I started germination straight in soil with a little bottle cut in half to retain humidity, i poked some holes in its top and it took 2 days for the little leaves to break the topsoil. I used a little pipette to water gently around the seed, about 10ml daily. I chose the smallest tent available so 1 seed is all i’ll be documenting this time.
I’ll also drop a swag little song at the end of each report to spread good vibes. This week’s is Sunshine Reggae by Laid Back, since its also the start of the sunny season where i live.

lipiedealer First week looks healthy, i bought the BioBizz Try-pack which has BioGrow, BioBloom and TopMax. For the moment, im only using BioGrow once every other watering. I also have BioBizz pH-up and down solutions to get the desired water pH.
I also have a random 6L humidifier from Amazon which automatically regulates itself based on the humidity you set, since my room air is quite dry, its been very helpful. I did some LST, which i know is too early at this stage but i handled the plant very gently as to not disturb its roots.
The tent isn’t very tall and i saw that this strain grows rather large, so im trying to keep it as low and wide for as long as possible to lower the risk of bleaching/burning later on in the grow when it gets too close to the light. The grow light intensity is non-adjustable so i need to be careful about what i do to keep the plant safe and healthy.
This week’s song is Kingston Town by UB40, take care yall.

lipiedealer This 2nd week isnt over yet, its currently 12 days since germination, but the plant looks healthy still, ive increased the water quantity slightly and moved my fan lower towards the plant because i noticed a faint green tinge on the topsoil (see pics). Due to the high humidity, algae grows happily around the watering site, which isn’t necessarily harmful, but it means there isn’t enough airflow and theres risk of mold if left unattended.
I’ll see if it goes away in a few days, ive read that a weak solution of hydrogen peroxide helps kill of the algae, or layering some pearlite across the soil also prevents it. But all i did is rearrange the soil to snuff out its oxygen supply, i just thought this extra info might help someone else.
I’ve also lowered the humidity slightly, but aside from these things, I haven’t changed anything else.
This week’s song is Walking On The Moon by The Police, hope everyone has a great day.

lipiedealer Its day 19, halfway through week 3, and shes as happy as can be. She responded well to LST and i also topped the main node 2 days ago. As a result, growth in terms of height has slowed down but the leaves have gotten bigger and more stems/nodes are branching out.
I also trimmed the biggest leaves that were blocking smaller leaves growing on the new nodes. I counted them all and there are maybe 4 or 5, not including the 2 from the topping that should appear soon. Im growing steadily more optimistic that i’ll manage to get a decent yield, but its too soon to tell.
This week’s song is Smooth Operator by Sade, i was actually listening to it while writing this. Love yours.

lipiedealer Its the end of week 4, final week of veg, and its had a huge growth spurt. The preflower period is like puberty for these plants, you see them growing bigger and bigger considerably each day. Its gotten a lot thirstier and its taking the BioBizz supplements really well, ive had no further problems with algae or anything.
I’ve also noticed the first white pistils so i lollipopped it to focus the plant’s energy on growing its most developed stems because any energy going into the smaller sprouts wont yield much bud.
Though i fear i may have went a bit too overboard with the cutting, its recommended to trim the bottom third but i’ve cut closer to half of it. I didnt stunt its growth though, ive seen it continue to sprout new nodes and its getting taller still, so i think i got lucky.
It has also been very warm this week (around 30c) , so keeping the tent temperature in the ideal range was tough considering i dont have an AC, but its not showing signs of struggle which is also good.
This week’s song is Year Of The Cat by Al Stewart, stay frosty.

lipiedealer I have made the grave mistake of overwatering my plant after being worried about the pH being unsettled, so i risked giving it 500ml extra of 6.2pH water after forgetting to pH a previous watering (my tap water sits in the mid 7s), and now the leaves have drooped (see last few pics).
I have shot myself in the foot and will lose almost a week of growth i cannot get back because of a silly mistake, it would probably have been fine from that singular un-pHed water cycle. I realised its being overwatered on a random morning after i have watered it YET AGAIN, because i mixed the nutrients in and pHed the water, opened the tent and straight away watered the soil without inspecting the plant too closely.
I thought the droop was from thirst, but after checking back after a few hours, i saw that the plant hasn’t perked up again like it usually does. At this point, the plant has been overwatered for about 2 days and it hasn’t grown in this time period, so taking into account the time i will have to wait for the medium to fully dry out, i’d say ive lost about 5/6 days of growth in total.
I’m a little bummed about the whole situation, this grow period is especially important for the plant and its missing out on a lot. But hey, its my first grow and im surprised i didn’t fuck it up sooner or in a more severe way. Nothing we do can ever be 100% perfect, it is what it is.
At times like this its important to stay optimistic, which is why this week’s song is Don’t Dream Its Over by Crowded House, it seems fitting. Take care yall.

lipiedealer Its day 39, halfway through week 6 and the girl has recovered nicely, which makes me very happy. A few leaves have some mild scars but we all do, it gives us character.
I’ve stretched the canopy apart a little more to give it space for light and to breathe easy. I’ve also completely stopped using the BioGrow supplement.
Bud growth has started popping up all over each stem, and i was worried about the yield since I’ve missed out on a huge essential part of growth from the overwatering, but it seems to have rebounded amazingly and has resumed rapid growth.
My worries have been lifted and im really happy to see the plant healthy again, hopefully next week i can show you guys an even more impressive progress report.
This week’s song is Pimper’s Paradise by the one and only Bob Marley. Wishing you all good health.

lipiedealer Its currently day 47, temperatures have finally cooled down but i’ve had to extend the time by 2 hours in which the lights stay off to keep temperatures in the right range.
You can see in the pictures that some leaves have suffered from heat stress and the light purpling on the tips and edges is the buildup of anthocyanins. Unfortunately the process is irreversible and the chlorophyll affected will stay purple, those cells can no longer produce energy for the plant after the climate returns to its ideal values.
However its good that i clocked it early and took immediate action to reduce the damage done, raising the light and placing frozen bottles of water inside the tent has helped lower the temps at canopy level by 2 degrees or so.
There’s also been signs of a slight magnesium deficiency, but that can be fixed easily even if you dont have a CalMag supplement by boiling one or two banana peels for an hour, then using that water in the next feed cycle.
It seems to be doing okay now, all things considered. The weather will stay under 27 Celsius for about two weeks from now, so i can maintain the internal temperatures a lot easier, at least during late flower. I only hope the temperatures wont shoot up again when its time to harvest because I lack an AC and i could lose a lot of terpenes during the drying process and greatly reduce the quality of flower. It would be a great disappointment to give a single plant all my attention and care only to yield hay-smelling tasteless bud.
This week’s song is Crazy by Aerosmith. Keep the peace yall.

lipiedealer Its day 53 and the oldest leaves have started to yellow and is moving up towards the buds. However, new growth is not affected and the topmost leaves remain green for now.
This could be a combined nitrogen and magnesium deficiency or it could just be the plant’s natural reaction to the end of its life, pulling out the remaining nutrients from its old leaves when they’re not producing enough energy. But I feel as if its too soon for it to be the second option.
It should have another week or two of growth until its ready for harvest and it might still need the leaves, it yellowed too fast and too much which worries me. The plant is still drinking 1L of water every two days, so i assume its healthy and i’ve reintroduced 1ml/L of BioGrow to maybe slow down the yellowing in case its a nitrogen deficiency.
I’m not at the upmost threshold of nutrients i can feed, i’ve played it safe to avoid burn so its okay to give it a little help, and in case it wont need the N, its still getting PK from the rest of the mix.
I’ll see how it acts these next few days, hopefully its nothing too serious. This week’s song is Romeo and Juliet by Dire Straits, keep it cool.

lipiedealer Its day 61 currently, i’ve given her the last feed and will start the flush now, even though she’s discarded most of her leaves already and is using up the remaining nutrients in the remaining leaves on her own.
Most of the pisitls have started turning orangey-brown so harvest is right around the corner, and i dont have a loupe for looking at trichomes but i’ll be taking macro pictures using my phone’s camera and will harvest as soon as i start seeing a few turning amber. There isn’t enough detail in the pics to know if the trichomes are transparent or milky, but its easier to see the amber ones, so thats how i’ll proceed.
This week’s song is Killing Me Softly by The Fugees, hope yall had a great week.
Are you using 1 SF1000 light? At what height and intensity do you run it at during flower? because my top leaves start to show light stress when I run it at 30cm's 100%, and your's still look great in terms of heat stress.
