Hello Everyone,
My plant seems to be recovering well from overwatering. Also, I decided to try topping this week and hope for the best. Not sure if I can top again later down the road, but I thought I would do it at least once. Also, I found a photo online of the soil I'm using for the plant and posted it as reference to the comments from last week. I will also start nutrients this week and will post the details next week. As for perlite, I will mix it with soil for my next plant and just be careful watering this one. Please let me know if I'm on the right track.l, I'm all ears.
Thank you!
Hello guys,
This is my first grow and I need help. Leaves started curling downwards. I'm not sure whether it was overwatering, underwatering, or needed repotting to a bigger pot. I repotted it today to a bigger pot and crossed my fingers. If you know what's up please help!
Thanks
Hi Wanderlust93, looking at your pic I would say its overwatering. One of the most common mistake everyone runs into in the beginning ESPECIALLY with Soil. I see you are running LEDs as well which don't emit as much heat as lets say an HPS therefore this will keep your temps lower and seeing your room temp in 70F I would definitely say if you are watering more than once or at most twice a week at the stage of growth you are at, then overwatering is your issue. Hope this helps. In the meantime let that soil dry out and see how the plant reacts. Its still early in your growth cycle but once you get root rot its pretty much game over. Best of luck. Cheers!
@Mrs_Larimar, I will definitely do that for the next one and see if I can mix some in this one a bit down the road. I just repotted her and I want her to recover first before touching the soil. Thank you for your help!
Thank you all for your support! It appears that the issue was overwatering as everyone has said, perhaps I watered her too frequently. Today, it looks like she's getting a bit better and the leaves are progressively getting back to normal. As for the soil, I bought it from a garden shop and will post a picture of it next week. I might keep the soil as is for now but water the plants more carefully meanwhile.
Thank you again for your support, and for replying to my question I greatly appreciate it.
