Just doing this for fun.
Some chupa buds wich gonna grow as they can with what they get or they just gonna die 😈
- 2 Critical from seeds (those got a nice spot where light is better)
- 1 Blackberry from seeds, topped twice so far, she's 6 weeks old
- 3 Northern Light clone, crazily trimmed & topped, about 6 weeks old as well
so, all in all i expect absolutely nothing from this:
- they gonna do their whole flowering in the 0.2l plastic glass
- i may not feed them nutrients accordingly and often just water even un-PHed sometime
- most of the time they gonna be far from lamps, under the canopy, when possible i'll try to give them a better spot on the side.
- Eventually moving them from tent to tent between 10:10am and 10:00pm so they get better light condition when possible.
I move them back to the flowering tent for night so they get their 12 hour of darkness.
For now it's fine in the White Widow LST's tent, And prolly gonna be like that for a while.
What i'm gonna do is my own Female seeds:
http://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blog-how-to-make-feminized-cannabis-seeds-like-the-pros-n1117
I'm gonna use the Coloidal Silver method.
I'm gonna isolate Males, once they show in a small carton box with 2 fluo lamp.
I'm prolly gonna move this box in the bathroom when males preflower show to prevent as most as possible unwanted pollenisation risk because box and tents would be close to each others.
Just ordered the Colloidal Silver so gonna start use it middle of second week, wich while prolly a bit late is still oki.
What i'm gonna do is:
- make the sole Blackberry a Male, and use it's pollen over one female Critical and one female Northern Light
- two northern light and one critical as chupa buds
- may be use some of the pollen with a brush in my mains Blackberry & White Widow tents and use the pollen very locally over one lower buds to get a few fem seeds from those as well.
Let's the fun Begins ! 😉
EDIT Week 1 Day 6:
- launched the sole, out of four, viable seed that i had from a previous grow, a Dutch Passion Shaman that hermied a very little.
Current plans:
- Blackberry F1 x Northern Light F1 (chupas buds)
- Blackberry F1 x Critical F1 (chupas bud )
- Blackberry F1 x Blackberry F1 ( another grow pollenisation)
- Blackberry F1 x White Widow F1 (another grow pollenisation)
- Blackberry F1 x Shaman F2 (germinated 1 week and a half later)
And well right now just after this edit, i'm very excited about this little experiment outcome 😁
Week 2 Day 2:
- Received the "colloidal silver" 20ppm and started treatment 3 time a day with the sole chuppa blackberry
- Had some old white acrylic painting, painted the carton box interior white to make it even better. It look really sweet now.
Week 2 Day 3:
- Noticeable dark patch on the blackberry leaves, after a day, sound good.
Some of the northern light wich had re-vegged for 7 weeks, are now re-flowering quick, and already make some flowers and smells a little. The Shaman F2 seed just show out of soil this afternoon.
Week 2 Day 6:
- now applying the treatment twice a day and i may reduce too once a day. Three time a day seem a bit too much for such a small plant.
Current breeding plans:
- Blackberry F1 x Northern Light F1 (chupas buds)
- Blackberry F1 x Critical F1 (chupas bud )
- Blackberry F1 x Blackberry F1 ( another grow pollenisation)
- Blackberry F1 x White Widow F1 (another grow pollenisation)
- Blackberry F1 x Shaman F2 (germinated 1 week and a half later)
Week 3 Day 3:
- I keep the "Shaman F2" 12/12 from seed in the carton box to see how it evolve with this light condition
- Blackberry seem better since i treat her twice a day, first male pre-flower seem to show ( will be able to tell more later this week )
- The 3 Northern Light are re-blooming well, kinda cute, even if messy 😅
- The two critical are still pretty small for 3 week
Current breeding plans:
- Blackberry F1 x Northern Light F1 (chupas buds)
- Blackberry F1 x Critical F1 (chupas bud )
- Blackberry F1 x Shaman F2 (germinated 1 week and a half later)
- Blackberry F1 x White Widow F1 (another grow pollenisation)
& if possible as flowering might be too advanced:
- Blackberry F1 x Blackberry F1 ( another grow pollenisation)
- Week 4 Day 2:
Stopping the treatment with colloidal silver. Used it two week twice a days.
First males pre-flower started to show after 7-10 days, with colloidal silver.
Actually there's not that much males flower seeable but will see in the next few week.
Really flipped this blackberry into flowering with a bad timing
Yup, a bit sad Blackberry was trimmed twice in row and slow growth just before the flip, would have been better with a little more recover.
-Week 4 Day 4:
So all in all, lot of improvisation with this first micro set-up try.
Seeds, Clones, were not all aged the same and trimmed the same when flipping.
The way each cup evolve will give nice data for the next try.
Yep, this time really launched more or less all little plant i had in every corner, just to observe how it goes with small cups, seeds, clones, growth difference when flipping and growth rate with 2400 lumen.
Can't wait to finish this first round and see the results ^^
WEEK 5 DAY 3:
Shaman is a really vigorous strain, one week younger and the tallest.
2 week ago split the two critical between the "carton box" and the "white widow" tent.
the one in the carton box grow slighty better
One northern light clone is directly rooting with 12/12 to see how it goes.
This week males flower start to be aboudant with the Blackberry so i'm pretty happy 😁
WEEK 5 DAY 7:
first pollenisation attempt (Northern Light F1 x Blackberry F1 )
very softly cut 2 Blackberry males flower over a black plastic trash bag away from my flowering tent and fans.
then crushed them under the brush extremity, some white powder was clearly seeable over the black plastic trash bag, and gently brushed the northern light lolipop female pistils.
repeated the process 5 6 time and now crossing fingers ^^, for this first female seeds should be ready in 6 week from now ^^ week 11 day 7
Set up is much better this week:
Most little plant are now in a 50x40x60 carton box with 2000 lumen , and two northern light are in the white widow tent with the new 250w dual spectrum 2100-6400k CFL
The shaman wich grown only in the carton box from seed, and wich is one week younger from the others is really impressive. She start to bloom quietly. Also did a little FIM with her cause i really don't need she stretch more (i can eventually move her to the white widow tent but would prefer to keep her from start to finish in the carton box).
The critical wich been moved to the carton box one week earlier than it's sister is noticeably bigger and less stretchy.
2 Critical wich spend a longer time under the canopy in the white widow tent than the shaman just start to bloom.
The northern light clone 12/12 rooting directly gonna give interesting data in the next few weeks to come. it just start to bloom.
Actually very happy with the amount of male flower with the blackberry, gonna repeat this experiment with better condition for sure 😁
And first pollinisation last week, using only two males pre-flower. Very to curious to see how many seeds i'm gonna get from only two males preflowers, and the little northern light.
(assuming pollinisation was a success, it's hard to see what you're really doing with the brush and pollen, let's just hope i have been doing it well, no idea and a bit anxious and not at the same for now , and yet too soon to see if seeds are forming ^^)
Changed a lot of things last week in my fresh new dual tents and the carton box.
I removed the 17w fluo and replaced with a mix of LED 10,5W 1055Lumen 2700-4000k
Main carton box now has of total of 42W LED 4220 Lumen 2700-4000k
(seem to be a bit too much afterward, 2 or 3 bulbs prolly better for this volume)
Blackberry males flowers should be ready next week i guess, as well as most females will nearly be ready for pollinisation as well.
Shaman F2 12/12 from seeds in small cup is really impressive, especially as she's younger than all the others.
nuts feeding clearly appear to be way too random and un-appropriate, gonna try to adjust that aspect some more
The two critical start to flower on the late but well, seem they not enjoyed being under the canopy of the white widow for a longer time first few weeks.
Northern light clone 12/12 rooting grow nicely.
And finally the others Northern Light females are fun to follow and seem to be doing well.
it's sort of crazy how much the smell is strong same as the frost for such little thing.
gonna do another similar try sooner or later with a new batch of strains
until then get inspired : )
Update:
- last sherbet cookies seed is born dead same apply to last cbd kush seed
- gonna continue this diary soon with the fresh new strain clones
01/2020 custom Biobizz schedule
Looking good. 😀👍.
I'm interested in the cross seed work you are experimenting with. I have thought about giving it a try. Maybe when I set up a new isolated area.
Good 🍀
