Wangsimni Welcome to my Grow 2025. I will have my plants during the vegetative phase inside under a light and later bring them outside for the flowering phase.
I planted the plants directly into the final pot (approx. 6L).
In the lower part of the pot I used Compo Universal Earth and enriched the earth with a long term fertilizer (COMPO BIO Universal). I filled the upper part of the pot with BioBizz Light Mix. I put the seeds in soil plugs from Royal Queen Seeds and dug the soil plug directly into the earth.
I started the germination on May 19, 2025. Before planting, I inserted the seeds in water for about 1 hour. Then I put the entire pots in a dark closet with a foil above.
The first Watermelon then came through the surface on May 22, 2025, the other two plants followed on May 23, 2025.
In the following I will refer to May 23 as day 1 of my grow.

Wangsimni There's been a lot going on this week!
The three ladies are now in bloom and have grown significantly in size.
The Green Gelato, in particular, continues to be particularly strong.
They've also moved into their outdoor home. From now on, the plants will spend day and night outside.

Wangsimni And again a lot has happened last week.
At the beginning of the week I removed the most fan leaves for the three plants. But plenty of leaves have grown back.
The Green Gelato continues to expand its size and splendor.
But the Watermelon #2 also slowly but surely builds up in the substance.
The Watermelon #1 lags behind and the leaves have colored quite light green. Apart from that, she looks healthy. I granted her an extra portion of fertilizer, let's see if she catches up again.

Wangsimni Unfortunately, Watermelon #1 still doesn't look particularly vigorous, but it's continuing to grow at its own pace.
The buds of Watermelon #2 and Green Gelato are slowly getting thicker, and the aroma is becoming more intense.
I finally had time to apply a bit of LST to these two plants (Watermelon #1 is still missing).
The Green Gelato has a bit of burnt leaf tips, but that's probably due to the high temperatures at the moment. But the plant is still bursting with energy.

Wangsimni This week it was over 37 C° for several days, it seems like it was a little too warm.
Unfortunately, many leaves have turned yellow and the plants seem to have suffered a bit.
The plants are still in okay condition and I am optimistic that they will survive the heat damage well. The temperatures have now dropped again.
The growth of the plants has now completely stopped, but the buds are becoming more and more ripe and the smell profile is getting better and better.

Wangsimni After a stressful last week, the plants have recovered well this week.
The buds are ripening, and the first amber-colored trichomes are visible on the flower.
Unfortunately, a branch on the Green Gelato broke off after it became too heavy from the rain. The branch was reattached with a toothpick and duct tape and appears to still have enough connection to continue growing.

Wangsimni Not too much happened this week.
Some of the leaves and buds turn purple.
I tested the status of trichomes this week, so far most trichomes are still milky. I think it will take another 2 weeks until the harvest can start.

Wangsimni The Green Gelato has developed a beautiful color and has the strongest scent of the plants.
The Watermelon #2 is currently developing new flowers again, and the buds are getting bigger and bigger. Its scent is also getting stronger. The scent is sweeter and less offense compared to the Green Gelato.
I'm very curious to see which of the two plants, Green Gelato or Watermelon #2, will ultimately have the higher bud weight.
The Watermelon #1 is unfortunately not developing so well. The buds aren't very large and haven't changed much in a while. The plant only has a very faint scent.

Wangsimni I was actually considering harvesting this week, but the buds are still growing. I think I'll wait another week or two. The weather is finally getting better in Germany.
Green Gelato:
The purple color is spreading and getting darker, and the buds are already looking really delicious. The scent of the plant is becoming more intense.
Watermelon #2:
The buds of these plants have grown the most in the last week. The plant is also turning a bit purple. The scent of the plant is also becoming more intense.
Watermelon #1:
Still not much is happening here; the buds are rather small.
