RRuffin The plant has grown very beautifully, but unfortunately, I noticed a pest infestation. So-called "thrips" have settled on the leaves and left these white marks. However, I was able to solve the problem myself. What are thrips anyway? - Thrips are very small, slender insects with fringed wings. They primarily feed on plant sap by piercing the cell walls and sucking out the contents. In doing so, they can damage plants and also transmit viruses. They are found worldwide and are particularly feared as pests in greenhouses or on agricultural crops. How did I solve the problem? - Go to your nearest Toom, hardware store, or Obi market and buy insect-free Neem, e.g., from Compo Bio, or a similar product. Spray the plants only in the morning or evening. After the first spray, wait three days and spray them again. Repeat the process just once more, and the problem should be tackled. Thrips do not die immediately from this. Neem works hormonally on the insects, it suppresses their hunger and prevents them from mating. After about a few days, the insects will then die. - Also, get blue sticky traps, which are very effective against thrips. Yellow sticky traps can also be set up additionally against fungus gnats.

RRuffin The plant has grown nicely. The spots are still visible, but they're getting less.

RRuffin I honestly admit it. No more outdoor grows unless I have a greenhouse in the garden. Just deficiencies, 1 fungus, and 1 time with thrips infestation. I don't think I need to say more.
