Mimosa feminized

Afterworkweedgrowers Was growing fast. Second pairs of leaves were already appearing. Sun was shining bright and the plant was soaking it all in. Transplanted this week to 8L bucket.

Afterworkweedgrowers This week was a good week too. Being from Canada. The weather was pretty cold outside but was around 18-20 indoors. Had to start humidifier as humidity dropped to 9% in my room next to window.

Afterworkweedgrowers This week just shooting new leaves. Waiting for 5 nodes to top it off. Hopefully mimosa should have 5 nodes by next week to top it. Can’t wait to top and train the plant. Also started some peppers as you can see on the side.

Afterworkweedgrowers Topped off my plant. Canadian winter sun is not out all the time to decided to buy a grow light. Topping with mid 20 temps made the plant stress out and slow down a bit.

Afterworkweedgrowers Plant recovered well. Increased nutrient dosage as well. Planning to top one last time next week for 8 main colas - see photo above. Plant is under high stress topping and LST at the same time - responding well.

Afterworkweedgrowers Plant is under very high stress. Topped again for 8 colas. The plant looks bare but will fill out soon. Plant has slowed down a lot under this training. But we will let it recover for next 2 weeks. I’ve attached time-lapse of leaves reaching for light. Hope you all like it.

Afterworkweedgrowers Started LST training. Got these 90 training clips for amazon for and these are amazing - bend the plants at almost 90 degrees. Plan was to spread the canopy as evenly as possible.

Afterworkweedgrowers Spreaded the canopy a bit more - continued LST. Broke a branch while trying to further bend a strong branch. It’s all about the experience. See pictures towards the right of the broken branch.

Afterworkweedgrowers O shit!!!! Broke another branch - see right. Now left with 6 main colas. Thank god i topped 4 colas. Taking it easy on LST and now just letting it grow freely as i’m a tad afraid all these for nothing. Took different types of shots to lighten the mood. Swipe right to see those. :)

Afterworkweedgrowers Plants recovered very well but unfortunately the Canadian spring had another plans and the temps dropped to 5-8 degrees overnight while the day temps stayed around 11-16. It slowed down the growth but still going strong

Afterworkweedgrowers Just a beautiful week. Plant growing strong. Started defoliating the bottom as planning to flip the plants to flower in coming week. A beautiful shot of the lower cleaned branches on the right. Leaves starting to look 👀 dark green. Seems like excess nitrogen is building up due to increased nitrogen.

Afterworkweedgrowers Plants looking healthy but still stressed thinking about excess nitrogen buildup due to increased dosage. Flipped the plant to 12/12 cycle to flower. Plants have already started to stretch, showing pistils. I think plant is root bound but we’ll not be transplanting now.

Afterworkweedgrowers I was right about the nitrogen lockout. I should have flushed or stopped feeding veg nutrients 1.5 weeks before flipping to flower. Leaves clawed down, edges crisping up and looking like shining leather. I flushed it with 6-7 litres of water to remove the excess nitrogen or I had almost lost the plant. No nutrients for a week. Recovery time.

Afterworkweedgrowers Had to cut out a lot of crispy nitrogen locked leaves but after the flushing, plant has recovered and started to shoot more pistils. Thank God!!! The plant recovered. The Canadian spring this time was a lot cooler and unpredictable. Nights were a lot cooler on average 8-10 degrees till May end.

Afterworkweedgrowers Plant is still stretching but stretching has slowed down. Good to see more and more pistils shooting out. Hopefully trichomes start to show up in the coming weeks.

Afterworkweedgrowers Plant has started to develop trichome and buds have started to swell. A very weak smell has started to appear. 4 more weeks to go. Hopefully 🤞🏻 it finishes it soon.
