Aznygrow Hello everyone Also, something new for the report, a different language. I decided to write a report in my mother tongue, whether it's better or not, who knows, let's find out. On May 17, 2025, I put the seed in water, and after it sank, I transferred it to a damp kitchen towel. The next day, I had a germinated seed that went straight into the prepared 20L fabric pot. Even though this is an outdoor grow, the little one is getting a small LED boost including a heating mat, because it was still quite chilly. As I mentioned, the pot was prepared; I mixed grow soil with perlite and my tried-and-true compost, rock dust, and horn shavings. The whole thing is pimped with mycorrhiza.

Aznygrow Yeah, week 2 of Melon-chan. Overall, the weather has been unstable and not optimal, so I topped up with some substrate again to prevent the melon from turning into asparagus. But I'm quite satisfied with the overall growth; during those very overcast rainy days, she definitely got the LED boost again. Yeah, as always, there's not much to do at the beginning and therefore not much to report.

Aznygrow Sooo this week the little one had her first aphid infestation, how could it be any different, those pests are everywhere :/ So I pulled out the neem oil and gave her a shower, wiping off those nasty little critters. Also, I got her ready for vacation, connected her to my greenhouse watering system, and used some straw as mulch so she can handle my absence well.

Aznygrow Well, after my vacation, thanks to the little sun and the fixed location (otherwise I carry it around to keep it in the sun), it's a bit leggy and the distance between the nodes is a bit too big for my liking. But otherwise, it looks good, I like the leaf color and that no new aphids have appeared. By the end of the week, it was clear that the new internodes aren't that huge, which is very pleasing. In general, my goal for next week is to do some LST before it goes into flowering and probably give it some grow nutrients for the stretch.

Aznygrow Sooo this week a bit of LST, although that's pretty late, but well, there was vacation. Otherwise, the week was sunnier, and as a result, the growth is going nicely. The internodes are coming together nicely. The leaves are well-shaped and lush, and they have a nice color. If everything goes well, the stretch should start slowly now; I'm curious to see how she does.

Aznygrow Yes, we have reached the flowering phase. The stretch has begun. The week will be very warm and very sunny, hope that really pushes the stretch! Overall, she has probably received her penultimate neem oil treatment. Overall, I am very satisfied with how it has developed so far. Sure, the stretching at the beginning wasn't so nice, and it's a bit of a shame that I couldn't do any more LST there, but I think she has balanced that out well so far. She has received her first dose of Hesi Bio Bloom, otherwise, it's still well water.

Aznygrow Yeah, the good one is doing well, looking nice and juicy, color's good, everything's good or something? Got a lot of sun this week, the perfect fuel for bud development, also added some bloom fertilizer on top. There's really not much to say except that everything is going its course, pests have almost completely left her alone by now. A few sunburn marks, but otherwise everything's tip-top.

Aznygrow New week, new residents. I found a spider, and for now, it can stay. It keeps the pests away from me or the plant, to be more precise. Otherwise, everything is smooth, nothing extraordinary. The trichomes are looking nice, and the smell is starting to come through. I gave another dose of bloom fertilizer, but unfortunately, there's less sun than last week.

Aznygrow Joa, suboptimal weather with rain, quite cool, and above all overcast, not much sun. But all in all, still a nice development, she's starting to develop a lot of beautiful trichomes. Actually, there have been few to no problems otherwise, pests are kept in check, just a hole here and there in a leaf, nothing serious. The structure is nice, the buds are coming, nothing to complain about.

Aznygrow It's going well, a few yellow leaves are appearing, which should be harmless at this point. Buds are getting bigger and denser, which makes me happy. Otherwise, everything is running smoothly; she's still getting her organic bloom fertilizer. Horn shavings and rock dust, along with the humus, provide a good basic supply, so I'm not too worried about the yellow leaves. I keep finding fruit flies on the lady :D she smells very sweet, which apparently they like too. (But aside from having to collect them, they aren't doing anything bad.) Yeah, basically it should be nearing the end soon, and I can start checking the trichomes.

Aznygrow One week of vacation, so not many photos and not much info, Neighbors watered the good one, maybe a little less than you would have liked, but at least something :. Otherwise, things are going well, trichomes are getting milky and more, and the smell is getting stronger.

Aznygrow Yeah, not much longer and she'll be harvested. The fear of bud rot with this weather (the forecast isn't great either) is high, and the trichomes look good overall. Generally, I'm satisfied with how it's turning out; the buds aren't very fluffy and there's not much popcorn despite minimal trimming. Fall is already here a bit, but it's manageable.

Aznygrow Yes, I decided to harvest due to the weather forecast and the ripeness of the trichomes. Since I have been spared from bud rot so far, I didn't want to risk it in the final stretch.

Good decision with the extra substrate! The weather is really unpredictable right now. Better to prevent stretching early.

@Soph_Hoffmann_20, Yep, that's exactly what I thought too, I made sure not to fill it to the brim at the beginning: D

I think it's great that you're still using LED and heating mats despite growing outdoors!

@Max_Fis20, you can support her a bit, if the tent wasn't on 12/12 she would have gone in there too.
