Grow Questions

Is it normal for my seedling to be at only one inch height after 8 days? Technically it did take about 2 days to sprout after planting. So I suppose it's really only been 4 days since sprouting. Slight yellowing on the leaves as well. My last auto was a huge fail.

Your seedlings doing just fine. It might go a little slowly while it builds up its root system to fill up that pot, so definitely go easy on the watering so it doesn't drown from lack of oxygen and probably go easy on any feedings right now too. One easy thing you could do is misting the plant and place a clear cup over the top for extra moisture and warmth. I think it's pretty common for them to do most of their drinking through their leaves before they have fully developed roots. Happy growing ✌️

It looks like you're doing your watering in a small circle around the plant rather than drench the whole container, so i you're probably doing all the right things already and it just needs time.👍

@Experimentgreen, thanks so much!

Dont worry about giving nutrients too early. I've done this with every auto I've grown. Now with that being said find your sweet spots with nutrients and be careful not to over do it. Good luck and happy growing!

That's gonna be one seriously whoopass doobie you're growing there!😉 I gotta say, though, I can't understand why you haven't started some other seeds since this one was so puny. This strain just takes a couple months...and can produce half-pounders if all goes well: growdiaries.com/diaries/13410-early-miss-white-widow-autoflowers

@erinr8, I heard that...it's so hard to be a true subsistence farmer with such limited space and such a big family!!! I am down to about 30g from my last crop...good thing this one is almost ready! I'm sure you'll enjoy it..EM makes some truly delicious and potent buds!👍

@Silverback_Guerilla, I actually have started another one in another journal, but I do need to get some more seeds. This little lady will be ready to harvest end of June and it definitely wont be enough to keep me tied over till the other plant (a photo period instead of auto) is ready. I have 4 other photo period seeds sitting In the fridge, I was just worried to have too many plants at different growth stages.

Arn't autoflowers suppose to stay on a 12-12 Light schedule?
erinr8
erinr8commentedweek 96 years ago
No, actually it's best to leave them on an 18-6 because they dont flower based on light schedule. They auto flower based on age due to the rudiralis strain. So it doesnt matter if you do 24 hrs the entire grow or 18, or even 12. Just whatever works but I wouldn't do 12 on n auto.
