Plant seems to be doing good. Growth is a little slower than I'd like to see, but that should pick up going into the third week. No problems to report.
Everything is looking good. Started nutrients at week 2 as the bottom leaves were starting to yellow off. Never had that happen before, but seems to have fixed it.
She grew quite a bit this past week and I will be doing some lst to her today. There is some yellowing in the leaves that I cant put my finger on so I'll have to try to figure that out.
The past few days the lower leaves have started to yellow off and it seems to be moving upward. I've grown quite a few times and have not come across this so soon into the grow. Anybody have any advice?
The past week I ran into what I think was a nitrogen deficiency causing some of the leaves to yellow off. Upped my nutrients and it seems to have fixed the issue. The plant didn't grow a whole lot this past week, but it did start to flower, so I'm happy about that.
Plant is stretching so I've seen a lot of growth in the last week. I ran into what I think was a calcium deficiency but it looks like I've corrected that. I'm going to do some more lst today and see how she responds to that.
Lots of growth this week due to the flowering stretch. I'm going to switch over to bloom nutrients now that the stretch seems to be done. I'm very happy with the way this girl is growing so far. I did some lst and defoliated this week. The week was pretty much trouble free, so there's not much more to say.
The stretch has stopped and she getting flowering nutrients now. Bud sites are starting to stack up, and the smell is getting rather strong. Quite skunky with a weird smell mixed in that I can't quite pin point. The best way I could describe it is almost sour like. Everything seems to be going well. Back in a week.
Plant is having a few issues that I can't quite figure out. But it is doing well besides that. Buds are starting to fatten up a bit, so that's exciting. Back in a week to update progress.
So I'm at the end of another week and everything appears to be moving along fine. This is one thirsty plant. Very strong odor coming from it. Has a unique smell under all the skunk aroma, but I can't really say it smells like bubblegum. It still has several weeks to go before she's done, and the calyxes are swelling up quite nicely. Trichome production seems a bit slow on this one, so hopefully that ramps up soon.
Buds are still putting on a bit of weight. I think it still has a week to go before I can harvest. One of my biggest mistakes in the past has been harvesting too early. It now has a very sweet smell to it, and I think I'm getting hints of bubblegum out of it.
Still not looking like it's done. Calyxes are still swelling and new ones coming in. Trichomes aren't mature enough so I'm giving it another week at least. Buds are super sticky on this plant. Smells like pine more than bubble gum.
Nice sweet tasting buds. Tastes fruity, like berries. The flavor does linger as well. I'm almost thinking I'm catching a slight whiff of bubblegum when I'm grinding this up, but it's hard to tell with all the other smells. Very relaxing high that won't knock you out. It is strong , but not overwhelming. Does induce hunger as well.
I thought I would end up waiting another week, but after a closer inspection of the plant, I decided it was time to harvest. It's an easy plant to grow in my opinion. I had a few deficiencies in the beginning but that was easy to resolve. Its very fragrant when trimming. It has a very slight bubblegum aroma to it and a very heavy grapefruit smell on top of that. Very pleasant though. I'm happy with the yield overall even though it not dried yet. I'll get at least an ounce maybe push it to 2 ounces once its dried and stems removed. I'm not a very good grower, so in the hands of someone more experienced it would yield a lot more. I'll update this once everything is finished up.
I previously germinated one of these, put it in soil and it just didn't make it. The seedling grew a tiny bit and then just stopped doing anything for a week. It looked sick, so I just yanked it.
So for this attempt, I put the seed directly into soil and about 5 days later I've got what appears to be a healthy seedling. It's already light years ahead of the other one, so I'm pretty sure I'll see this one through to the end. Back in a week to update progress.
Week is over and things are looking good. She was a bit dry this morning, so I gave her a drink. Not much else to say about it. My camera is broken on my phone, so pardon the poor quality pictures.
Any idea on when you are going to harvest. Got alot of calyxes reaching their largest right now, but looks like the other half will reach that this week. Seeing a good chunk of Amber trichomes glistening in the Sunlight, don't have a magnifier. I'm thinking Friday, hoping that's not too soon. Next monday is exactly 10 weeks.
@SortOfNovice, I'm probably looking at another 2 weeks at least before I harvest. I know the breeder says10 weeks, but I've never grown a plant that's hit the mark. Although the buds are swelling nicely, it has a lot more weight to put on in my opinion. I also have a lot of amber on the leaves, but not much on the buds themselves. If I was forced to chop it right now, I'd be quite disappointed. Your plant might be ahead of mine though. Nothing beats sunlight and fresh air.
