YoyoDE My first grow attempt on my mini balcony with test seeds from RQS. The little ones germinated within 4 days and have developed well. After the left one got flattened by a pigeon, wooden stakes are now protecting it from further attacks. It has recovered, but it's now far behind the others in its development.

YoyoDE They started to bloom in the middle of the week and are growing vigorously wide. The outside temperatures are insanely high, I think I'll bring them inside for the next two days... 36 degrees and full sun for over 6 hours is just too risky for me.

YoyoDE I've really suffered from the heat at the beginning of the week, so I spent the hot days by the north window. One of the 3 had already stopped growing there. She's very compact and hopefully will stretch soon. The other two have grown well. The tallest is now the one that was lagging behind after being injured by a pigeon. The middle one has grown wonderfully and has long, stable side branches. But to prevent her from getting even wider, I'm trying some very gentle training. It's a test, let's see how it goes. Additionally, I've removed the large leaves in that area for more light. The pots are now wrapped in aluminum foil so they don't heat up too much from the sun.

YoyoDE Growing slowly, but blooming beautifully. Height of 48 to 60cm. I'm fertilizing more often now. The girls are very thirsty despite moderate temperatures.

YoyoDE How long do you think it will take until they are ready for harvest? And why aren't they turning purple? Otherwise, they are really very pretty. They aren't growing anymore, but the buds are getting denser. They smell pleasantly fruity. Sometimes like fruit ice, sweeter in the evenings but never overpowering.

YoyoDE Week 9 is over... we are clearly approaching the harvest. The lower small buds are still blooming, while not much is happening up top. Only my previously injured plant is about 1-2 weeks behind in development and is still blooming intensely. So I probably won't be able to harvest all three girls at the same time. I'll definitely give them another week to let the lower buds develop a bit more. Let's see how it looks next week 😁

YoyoDE Mostly crappy weather last week.. so not much has happened. But I have a feeling they get a little boost whenever the sun shines. So they should soak up some solar energy in the next few days. But then I guess I’ll have to harvest soon… what do you think.. harvest or wait a bit longer?

YoyoDE The last few days have been really great, mild with a mix of sun and clouds, perfect for my girls. I haven't given them any nutrients lately, but they were really thirsty and I had to water them a lot. Two are now ready, I think, and they are already drying out 😉.
