Divine Big Demon Auto / Autopot + Coco

punktkomma We’ve been hit with a serious heatwave and I’m growing in an attic apartment. Yesterday the tent hit 37°C with a VPD of 2.1 😬 So yeah, the first few days were… rough 😄 But despite that, the girls are holding up pretty well! The Big Demon is struggling a bit, but I’ve adjusted her conditions and things are looking a little better now. I’ll give her a bit of silica with the next watering to help her cope with the heat stress. Today I spotted some roots poking out of the bottom of the Eazy Plugs, so I moved the seedlings into their final pots. Let’s hope things cool down soon 👻👽

punktkomma Last week I managed to dial things in :) went from hardcore to ideal conditions 👻💀 Still, the plants took a bit of a beating and slipped into basil mode. Looks a lot like a calcium deficiency to me, probably because my pH was sitting too low at 5.5, which isn’t great for calcium uptake i think. I’ve adjusted the pH now. All the plants are a bit smaller than what I usually see around day 12... maybe I miscounted, or it’s just the rough start they had. Either way, I think they’ll bounce back just fine. 😘😍😇

punktkomma The week went pretty well overall. 👽 Unfortunately, the basil mode is still hanging on a bit. 😄 I tested the runoff, no issues with pH or EC, so I’m hoping they’ll grow out of it soon. Let the pots dry back for two days, then set up the Autopots yesterday and filled them for the first time. About 12 hours later, the first tray was already empty 👻 Now we’re heading into that exciting growth phase... fingers crossed everything keeps moving forward like it is now 😇👍

punktkomma This past week went pretty smoothly overall. The Big Demon basically topped herself and finally stopped acting like a basil plant 😄 Still no signs of flowering yet, though.

punktkomma I was genuinely worried that the Big Demon might not be an autoflower after all. 😅 The others have been stretching for a while and already show clear signs of budding, while the Big Demon showed absolutely nothing until two days ago. 😁 But now, a few white hairs have finally appeared, and I think I can already see the beginning of the stretch. 😇😉 Seems like she handled the stress much better than the Sweet girls... she’s probably going to turn into a big demon 👹😈

punktkomma Everything’s going well so far. Big Demon is in the stretch and growing 4–5 cm daily. I’m keeping the EC at 1.5 for now... slightly yellow tips, but still within the normal ok range. 😇 I hope she catches up a bit but doesn’t stretch as ridiculously tall as the others haha 😁
