S3phwaa Seed went straight into the dirt after a 48-hour soak and seeing the root peek-through. Definitely wish I'd filled this 5-gallon fabric pot to the brim, it's sitting at about half. My little sprout's going to need more legroom for those roots eventually, so I'm already eyeing a transplant in the near future once it gets a bit more established.
Aiming for PPFD of 200 and have slowly risen to 300, light is about 30 inches away, 18/6. Lights off during hottest part of the day. Temps have been warmer than I’d like, so managing heat has been a bit of a chore. Watching for any signs of heat stress.
Water is going in at pH 6.5, and I’m letting the top inch dry out before I rewater. The soil’s a living blend, so no bottled nutes, just amendments and top-dressing later.
Pests aren't awful yet, but I’ve seen a few earwigs hanging around. I think they’re getting cozy under the pots where it stays moist. Looking into pest prevention maybe diatomaceous earth and some elevation for the pots. Any tips are appreicated!
This is my first grow so not trying to overcomplicate it and going to let her do her thing.
Oh no! I am sorry your seedling got killed bye earwigs. Please do try again, and please do run the diary I want to see your success!
Welcome to grow diaries!
@Fast_Buds, I am having a hugeeee problem with earwigs... it must have been so delicious, I found it lopped down... Since then I have done some pest control and I am ready to try again. But I need more Pineapple Express seeds! Have the hookup?😆
