Teilweise kletterten die Temperaturen auf fast 40 Grad – ein Rekord, der sowohl für Mensch als auch Pflanze eine Belastungsprobe ist. Trotzdem hat die Pflanze ihre Widerstandsfähigkeit deutlich unter Beweis gestellt. Schon Anfang der Woche war zu sehen, dass die Gorilla Zkittlez Auto fleißig wächst. Die ersten kräftig gezackten Blattpaare sind deutlich ausgebildet, und auch das typische „Stretching“ in Richtung Licht ist in vollem Gange. Trotz der hohen Temperaturen blieben die Blätter gesund und sattgrün; es traten keine Anzeichen von Hitzestress, wie Roll- oder Verbrennungsspuren, auf. Nur an den heißesten Tagen konnte man beobachten, dass die Blätter in den Mittagsstunden leicht „hängten“, was sich nach dem Gießen aber schnell wieder gegeben hat.
