GreenGrows365 This diary plans to compare the performance of the Autopot Tray2Grow system with the EarthBox. I will be running 4 Autoflowers, 2 of each strain. One of each will be in an Earthbox, and one of each will be in the bed on the T2G. Everything is set up with brand-new BuildASoil Light and top-dressed /watered in with the listed amendments. All four seeds were germinated directly in the soil and broke ground within 72 hrs. The two Blackberry were the first to show, followed by both Mexican Airlines a few hours later. I'm happy everything germinated quickly and at the same rate, so we get the best comparisons with no age difference between any of them. Hoping for a simple and illuminating grow!

GreenGrows365 We are on Day 7 since breaking the surface. Overall, all of the seedlings are doing great. Everything germinated within a few hours of each other, so there is virtually no difference in age. That will make things even better for comparison purposes. MA#1 was the most upset by day 3, showing some cotyledon curling, but I was able to determine the fan breeze was causing it to receive too much direct humidity. Made some slight adjustments, and she is back to full vigor.
Environmental Averages for the week (including lights out) were:
Inside Air temp: 75F
Inside Humidity: 80%
Inside VPD: .64 kPa
Outside Temp: 70.2
Outside Humidity: 53%
Outside VPD: 1.14
Ecowitt Readings:
T2G Root Zone: 34
T2G Wicking Zone: 50
EB MA2: 35
EB BB2: Ecowitt otw, but same as other EB when checked.

GreenGrows365 Things are progressing well for the end of week 2 (Day 14). Mexican Airlines 1(MA1) in the Tray2Grow has been generally upset about something constantly. The other three have been moving along steadily. Blackberry 1 (BB1) on the other end of the tray from MA1 is the largest by a solid amount and loving life.
Both earthboxes (MA2 & BB2) are roughly the same size, while BB2 has been the healthier looking so far, MA2 seems to be slowly catching back up.
While they are supposed to grow to the same max height, I have to remind myself that MA leans heavily sativa while the BB is Indica dominant.
MA 1 is absolutely the runt, and man is she fickle. While the other three have been generally happy, she has just had a complaint for everything. Without a doubt she lost some potential yield, but that's just how it goes some times. With 3 happy, 1 upset, and no discernible microclimate issues, there was only so much I was willing to adjust to try and baby her along. She does seem to have moved past it now, though she is carrying the scars of some early complaints.
Changed from seedling to veg targets in the Controller.
Air Temp- 81-83
Leaf Temps- -2/-3
Humidity- 68-75%
VPD- .8-.9
Looking forward to getting the sub-irrigation running hopefully by the end of this coming week!

GreenGrows365 This week went smoothly. Still learning all of the nuances to the SIP's and all new equipment as well. Definitely some things to do different going forward, but overall I am quite happy with their growth. Ma1 is still just upset about most things.

GreenGrows365 The ladies all hit their stride with the SIP's fully activated and access to the water as they want it. Both Blackberry are clearly into stretch here at day 28. Top dressed some oceanblend from buildasoil and watered in with the usuals.

GreenGrows365 Three of the four have stretched well and are starting to stack flowers nicely. Bb2 already has some amazing coloration starting to appear. Really hoping to see that start to show on BB1 as well. Of all the plants BB2 was the first to initiate flower, so BB1 may show that color here soon.
MA2 is keeping up well and is pretty much even with BB2 height wise, though she started flowering 5-7 days later than the BB. That was expected with the Sativa vs Indica genetics. I expect ma2 may be the tallest by the time all is said and done, assuming she goes for that sativa stretch.
MA1 has managed to recover admirably. It is actually very healthy looking and happy. Sadly, the first few weeks of being very picky about everything have left her significantly smaller than the rest. She was the last to flower surprisingly, and so hopefully those sativa genes get her up closer to bb1 height. We will see, but I have this strange feeling she may be a sleeper, small yet mighty.
We will see how things progress this week!
