I modified a shelf from a Swedish furniture store so that two plants fit side by side in there. Filling and Germination: - Fabric pot about 18 liters, Floragard Professional Growmix soil - Seeds soaked in water for 24 hours - Then germination between damp kitchen paper Setup: - In the shelf :) - A 9 W full-spectrum LED tube from Jungle Leaves - A 33 W SpiderFarmer LED strip - Two party spotlights of about 30 W each - 18 hours of light - Small fan between the spotlights In the first week, the soil was only gently sprayed.

Bartimaeus Watered the soil carefully in the second week. In the second pot, there's a CBD Fix Auto from Zamnesia, for which there is also a grow diary.

Watered with 2 liters today. For 1 liter of water, 1 ml Bio-Grow, 1 ml Bio-Bloom, 1 ml Top-Max, and 0.3 ml CalMag. Additionally, 0.15 ml Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to 6.5. A dehumidifier is running to lower the humidity a bit. Instead, I hung an additional SF 300 from Spider Farmer on the shelf. This way, I use less electricity with better lighting. I attached the fan to a board so it hangs further away from the lamps. No deficiencies are noticeable on the plant. I hope it stops growing taller soon, otherwise it won't fit on the shelf anymore. 😁 Since the soil still feels moist, I didn't water today. Bartimaeus Tag 44; I had to take Jack Herer off the shelf yesterday after she grew taller than my lights overnight. She’s supposed to reach a maximum height of 110 cm, and she’s almost there now. I’ve never topped my autoflowers before, but I think this one would have been a candidate. The buds are still relatively small. Today I watered with 4 liters. For 1 liter of water, I added 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 2 ml of Bio-Bloom, 1 ml of Top-Max, and 0.3 ml of CalMag. Additionally, I added 0.1 ml of Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to 6.5. The dehumidifier is still running. Bartimaeus Tag 58: The Jack Herer Auto seems to have reached its final height now. The buds are getting bigger and no deficiencies are noticeable. According to the breeder, the plant should be ready for harvest in 13 to 26 days. However, that probably won't be kept. Today I watered with about 3 liters. In 1 liter of water, 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 3 ml of Bio-Bloom, 1 ml of Top-Max, and 0.3 ml of CalMag. Additionally, 0.2 ml of Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to about 6.5. Height 140 cm Temp 25°C Humidity 44% ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tag 63: Jack Herer has reached its final height of 140 cm. Just like my CBD Fix, it shows no signs of deficiency. The buds look good and are getting bigger. Today I watered with about 4 liters. In 1 liter of water, 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 3 ml of Bio-Bloom, 1 ml of Top-Max, and 0.3 ml of CalMag. Additionally, 0.2 ml of Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to about 6.5. Next time I fertilize, I will increase the amount of Bio-Bloom and Top-Max to the specified maximum. Size 140 cm Temp 25°C Humidity 51%

Bartimaeus Tag 70: To wrap up week 10, I watered with about 4 liters. I've adjusted the feeding schedule. The plant seems to either have a slight deficiency or pests. The leaves show small white spots on the top. However, pests weren't visible at a quick glance. Since I'm going away for a few days, I treated the leaves prophylactically with neem oil and increased the amount of CalMag. I also removed damaged leaves. During the treatment with neem oil and while transporting the plant, two branches broke off. A bit annoying but it can't be helped. I could have lost the whole plant. 😬✌️ The branches have become too heavy due to their length and the flower growth. I had to tie a few up so they wouldn't hang down too much. For 1 liter of water, about 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 4 ml of Bio-Bloom, 4 ml of Top-Max, and 0.8 ml of CalMag. Additionally, 0.1 ml of Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to about 6.5.

Bartimaeus Tag 77 I checked the leaves again with a magnifying glass. The spots on the leaves are from thrips. A bit annoying so close to harvest. The pistils have only started to turn brown for the most part since last week. There are only a few feeding spots, but I ordered nematodes anyway since there's still some time until harvest. Better safe than sorry, and the nematodes don't cost much. I removed a few infested leaves again. I didn't use neem oil this time. I reduced the lighting time to 12/12 in the hope that it will accelerate the ripening process of the buds. In 1 liter of water, about 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 4 ml of Bio-Bloom, 4 ml of Top-Max, and 0.8 ml of CalMag. Additionally, 0.1 ml of Bio-Down to lower the pH of the solution to about 6.5.

Bartimaeus Day 83: Today I watered. Tomorrow I will water the plant with the nematodes. The thrips haven't caused any major damage so far. The flowering is progressing slowly. However, I think I still have about 2 weeks to wait until harvest. In 1 liter of water, about 1 ml of Bio-Grow, 4 ml of Bio-Bloom, 4 ml of Top-Max, and 0.5 ml of CalMag. I skipped Bio-Down since the pH was at 6.7. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Day 84: Today I watered the plant with the nematodes. Let's see what happens.

Bartimaeus Tag 89: Jack Herer is taking its time. Holy Hemp indicated 10-12 weeks from seed to harvest. Since no amber-colored trichomes are visible yet, it will probably take a few more days until harvest. Today, I started to stop using the fertilizer and only adjust the pH level. Due to the thrips infestation, no further damage has occurred since I watered with nematodes last week. Watered with about 4 liters. I adjusted the pH level to 6.2 using 0.4 ml/L of Bio-Down.

Bartimaeus Tag 92: The 14th week has begun. Since the trichomes are mostly milky, I'm leaving the plant in the dark for 24 hours. I don't know if the dark phase does anything. Since I haven't had any negative experiences with it so far, I'll keep it up for now and then harvest the Jack Herer. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Tag 94: Today I harvested the plant after about 54 hours of darkness. The buds, even the smaller ones, are nice and firm and not as "fluffy" as I was used to. They emit a strong, sweet, pleasant lemon scent. The buds are very resinous and sticky. The wet weight is 383g. That's more than I expected. I'm curious about the dry weight. I hope it will be around 60g. Now I'll dry the buds in the basement for 7 days and check daily for mold. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After 7 days drying in the basement, I filled the buds into jars today for curing. In total, the buds weigh 56g dry. They emit a floral scent. I'm very satisfied with the result. I'll provide a "smoke report" in about a month.
