CyphingEveryday This is my first grow!
I opted for the easiest, laziest setup. The soil I used(coast of Maine stonington blend) is advertised to have all the nutrients my cannabis plant should need for its whole life from seed to harvest. I therefor will be watering with plain water for the whole grow. I am running an 18/6 light schedule on my spider farmer SF1000. I got my seed from North Atlantic seed co, it came very quick(under a week).
She sprouted after 3 days.

I applied LST on day 15, and it bounced back so fast, as you can see in the first two images of day 15 and 16. So I applied a second stake to fight the main stem. I also defoliated the main stem.
On day 17, seeing as I was going away for a couple of days and wouldn’t be able to keep up with LST, I thought I could defoliate some leaves off the main branch to slow its growth.
On day 18 I was away, but I had someone at home to take pictures. In the picture, I noticed some spots on the leaves. I didn’t know it at the time, but the main cause of this was that my humidifier was empty, and it was starting to get very dry in there.
On day 20 I setup the automatic irrigation system. I’m using the vivosun drip irrigation system, but I didn’t connect the dripping stakes as I thought it would be easier if I tied the pipes to the soil, and just the let water pump through there.
The damage from the low humidity was pretty bad. It’s hard to see in the images, but many of the nodes were missing parts of their leaves, had holes, and were curled. Very unfortunate that this happened, but I’m okay with it. This is my first grow, and if I can learn from my mistakes.

During this week, I just let the plant ride out, as it needed time to recover from the humidity problem. Had it not had the humidity problem, I would’ve done a lot more LST. The nodes just weren’t big enough during this time, and needed time to build their stems.

I noticed she started to produce pistils and stretch. She is in flower.
This week I did a lot of low stress training, opening up the plant and moving branches farther out. I also removed some leaves that blocked lower leaves.
I am excited to see the buds start to form, and am curious as to when that will happen. I will wait and see.
@BunnyBud, I don’t think that’s stupid at all! In fact, I actually did do some defoliation yesterday but didn’t take a picture of it so you just didn’t see. Thanks for your comment!
@CyphingEveryday, I'm more scared of bending my autoflower for the first LST than bending my back trying to build an IKEA shelf without instructions, I'm afraid of ruining it by bending the branches badly ahahahaha but you understand my anxieties🤣
How far away do you keep the lamp? This is my first indoor grow, my little one emerged between August 16th and 17th, currently I keep the sf1000d 60/62cm from the plant. However, your little one is really cute, congratulations, little by little we will become pros too 🤣🌸
@BunnyBud,
I have the same LED lamp and its my first run with it. I keep the seedlings 61cm from the lamp currently and then i expect them to grow into the light as they need. But I will make sure they dont come to close or too far away according to their stages. Do u recommend the SF1000D? I would love to hear some info about it from growers who actually use it
@Herikus, yeah should’ve done this earlier. I was away for much of august + the stems were weak after a humidity problem so I didn’t LST enough until now and it’s a little too late now. Thanks for the compliment, tip, and positivity!
This is one strain I have not tried yet, either to grow or to smoke. Good luck with it, I am curious to follow along. Is this your first grow? Welcome to grow diaries!
@UnorthadoxDude, Yes it is my first grow! I once bought some Bruce banner at a dispensary and it was an amazing smoke. Thanks for following along and thanks for the warm welcome.
