-Linalool- Ordered a 3 pack of Chicken n Wafflez from Humboldt n we got 4! Haven't grown in a few years. Several grows under my belt, but I expect to be a little rusty. Chicken n Wafflez is a cross of Jelly Donutz #117 x Purple Cartel by Xotic Flavors that was then back crossed 3 times with itself for stability and consistency. For this grow I'm going to stick to what I know, not to stray to far from what I remember being tried and true. My main goals are to get a half pound and practice monitoring PPM/TDS and PH. Side goals are to pop a holy grail pheno. (Back in the day i had an Original Glue pheno from ILGM that was phenomenal) Let's get to the grow. 7/12/2025 Waiting on TDS/PPM meter and Ph meter from amazon, they're somewhere in the mail. For germination, I started by wetting some paper towel with some tap water. According to the reports on my cities water, I'm not too worried about dissovled solids, but once i get more testing equipment we can look into it more. After, wetting the paper towel, i simply placed the 4 seeds on it, folded the entire piece in half and placed it inside an unsealed ziploc baggy, then placed that bag in a drawer above my PC. It's nice and warm in there, around 80+ degrees as the vent from my PC shoots straight up onto the bottom of the drawer. Figured it would be a good spot. 7/13/2025 Checked back on my seeds on a whim 24hrs after placing in the drawer to find all 4 have germinated! Rejoice! -updates- I had to go to bed that night, but let me continue what I accomplished that day. I rehydrated some Sunshine Advanced Mix #4 with half strength Clonex solution until damp and packable. I prepped my solo cups by taking some scissors and snipping 4 tiny slits in the bottom edge of the cup, about 90 degrees from one another. Then proceeded to layer soil into solo cups an inch or so at a time and lightly packing as i went, ensuring no air pockets in my mix. About an inch from the top, I stopped and poked a small hole in the center of the cups and dropped one seed in each hole, taking care to make sure the tap root is facing downwards for every seed. Then, I covered with another half inch of mix and lightly tamped down, and thoroughly wet each solo cup with about a half cup of half strength Clonex solution to ensure soaked mix. These were then set in a warm, approximately 75 degree space to wait for seedlings to emerge from the soil. Sorry forgot to take pictures of this process, perhaps I will add staged ones for posterity later.

-Linalool- 7/15/25 All 4 seeds have emerged from the soil upon returning from work! seeds germinated in less than 24 hours and all sprouted from the ground in less than 3. I currently do not have my new tent/grow light, etc. It's all still in the mail, I really didn't expect all of this to happen as quickly as it is. That should be getting delivered on friday, which is just a few days away at this point. I did get my PPM/TDS meter, my PH meter and my PAR meter in the mail today. All of those have been extremely exciting to play with and I'll be attempting to include and track as much information about this grow as I can. In the meantime, I have all 4 of my seedlings under my microgreen lights, (cheap no name t5 replacements i found on amazon, the do great for trays of radish sprouts!) a quick par measurement revealed around 125 ppfd at the level my seedlings sit in their cups. I'm going to keep them here until i get my tent. Currently, my microgreen lights are on a 18/6 schedule, and i think that'll be okay. Usuallyconsider 12/12 for the first week, but idk, I think they'll be fine. Tap water measures about 150ppm. Frustratingly close to my cutoff of 200 for needing to get RO. I'm wondering if i find a carbon filter if it'll knock it down a bit and take out the chloramine my city uses to treat my water. going to give this a little more thought, if you have ideas, let me know. 7/16/25 Spent the rest of yesterday worried about humidity. When I woke up this morning, I realized I could just throw some ziplock bags loosely over the tops of the cups. Smart ideas often just take a little time. :) Going to just give them a mist every once and awhile. They all seem really happy. We're kind of chilling now until i get some more supplies. I still conflicted if I'm going to try to keep these plants organic, think it might be fun but boy howdy does that stuff stink. Pros and cons, pros and cons. 7/19/25 Nothing to report, just letting them do their thing. 7/21/23 I watered them on this day with improperly ph'd nutrient solution. It ended up being really low, around 4.8-5.0. That was a mistake. I know that. When I realized I rushed to the store for PH up the following day. Planned to do a flush and fix that day, but this ended up getting delayed. when I used to grow, I never paid much attention to PH so this has been a new thing for me.

-Linalool- 7/23/25 A lot has happened in the last week. Dealing with some health issues today, taking it as an opportunity to get caught up on here to keep me distracted. I've had these on a shelf i use for microgreens, over the weekend i received my tent and environmental control equipment, and dialing in that process has been a bit of work and a lot of fun. All 4 girls are now in their new apartment all to themselves, with a dialed environment to help them shine! AC Infinity everything from top to bottom. I'm going to consider today the first day of them being in a properly controlled environment and with properly PH'd soil, nutrient solution, and waterings. I've been super busy the last few days with work and am just now getting things dialed in. To deal with the PH error from last week, I overwatered all 4 plants with 2 cups of distilled water bringing run-off PPM from around 800 to less than 200, and brought run-off PH to 7.0 flat. I then watered with Clonex nutrient solution at 12ml per gallon around 300ppm PH'd to 6.3. I am currently using store bought distilled/RO water depending. I discovered chloramine in my water which makes it a no go for my soil. Current day temperature is 75 degrees, with a target VPD of .8. When transitioning to night, the temp is brought down to about 70 degrees, VPD drops to .6, then quickly stabilizes back to .8. Umol for lighting was a little high yesterday at around 300, thinking it was closer to 250. I Neglected to realize how much a closed door would raise the Umol measurments. I raised the light to around 36 inches and have light intensity currently at 230 Umol. Will watch for plant response. 7/26 not much happening, letting them do their thing. Got a infrared thermometer to measure leaf temperature to correct vpd.
