Thaniel420Fox Hello and welcome to my report! I pressed the seeds into coconut on July 6th, and yesterday (see picture) I put the coconut starter pot into the soil.
Let's see how well this works on the balcony. I specifically started in June so that the growth phase isn't too long and it doesn't become a giant plant..
I hope there's no mold during the flowering stage, as the summer has been relatively wet so far.. However, my balcony is covered, so it's a bit better protected from that.

Thaniel420Fox Today is July 25th, I would say that's the day of the transition from seedlings to the growth phase 👍🤷♂️
Should be in the growth phase until mid-August and then go into the flowering phase due to the natural shortening of daylight. Let's see how fast and well it grows.. There's really not much sun this year here in the north.

Thaniel420Fox Unfortunately, there was very little sun this week as well. The plant is probably still in the growth phase for another 2 weeks, then it will likely go into flowering since it will be mid-August by then.

Thaniel420Fox Today is August 13th, so it's the middle of Grow Week 3.
I snipped the new leaves off the top yesterday (3 internodes), hoping the plant will spread out a bit more. It’s been very cloudy the last three weeks, only in the last three to four days has it been sunnier. Unfortunately, the days are getting shorter again, and according to ChatGPT, the first signs of flowering will be visible in the next two to three weeks. I hope it grows well and gets bigger before that.
Something is also nibbling a little on the leaves again...

Thaniel420Fox Today is August 24th, so week 5 or day 31 of veg.
A few days ago, I think 4 days?
I topped it and snipped off the mini leaves that wanted to grow at the top. I also threw away 2 caterpillars from the balcony, so I really seem to have gotten the hole-eating problem under control. No new holes are appearing, and the plant is still growing and showing no signs of flowering 🤝
So it went well again, and it can recover a bit before going into bloom.
Today, I took some candlelight shots.

Thaniel420Fox Today is September 3rd, and the plant still shows no signs of flowering, but it has grown quite a bit more. I bent the topped tip apart with some wire and cut two to three sun leaves to let more light reach the side branches.
I hope the street light pollution doesn't prevent the plant from flowering at all...

Thaniel420Fox Today is September 28, 2025, it's about 12 °C at night and it's supposed to reach a maximum of 18 °C.
The flowering started a week ago, I would say on September 16, but I just haven't gotten around to writing a post.
I'm curious if anything will happen before the first night frosts come. So far I've been lucky, as it's still relatively sunny during the day!

A little bit of flowering growth is still being observed, and the first sugar leaves are forming very, very slowly. So it doesn't seem to be too cold yet, even though it's really quite uncomfortable, and from now on it doesn't look so sunny anymore.

Thaniel420Fox Today is the 19th of October, it's a bit sunnier but winterishly cold. So far the coldest night with 4 degrees.. I would say that the flowering is still growing a bit.

Thaniel420Fox Today is November 10th, the trichomes are turning milky. I would have thought that the cold temperatures would cause the plant to die, but not that it would continue to mature. But apparently, there’s still a bit of hope. Even though it’s really tough and takes significantly longer than in warmer weather.
