Kushycat Giving up is not an option!
24 hours in Bio Tabs Seed Plug + water then transplanted into a mixture of coffee grounds + soil + vermiculite.

23.07.20258 Looks like one seed isn't germinating.
Probably my own fault, as I didn't notice that the water had leaked out.
The shell is open, but nothing else is happening. I'll give it another chance, otherwise unfortunately RIP.

Kushycat Just a little water + love and some sun on the windowsill.
26.07.2025 Today we're going outside.
It won't be a long vegetative phase. Let's see how big they'll get.

Kushycat Location changed.
It's been raining all the time, so I made them a little roof. They're still very small and fragile mice.
Then they won't be so cold at night.

Kushycat Summer is back! π
They are growing happily and seem to be doing well. π
I think they will only remain vegetarian for a few more days due to the length of the days and nights. π
I cut some lemon balm, lavender, curry plant, and various other herbs, dried them, and placed them on the soil to repel pests, etc.

Kushycat I removed the lower shoots, otherwise everything is fine so far.
They received a small dose of BioBizz worm humus, which unfortunately is not listed here.
I realized that I am overwatering (see photoperiodic plants report). π§
It looks like it will be a while before they start flowering.
That's good for me, as hopefully they will gain some height before the stretch begins.
I sowed them very late for photoperiod plants, so maybe they will treat themselves to a bit more veg.
Does anyone have experience with such late outdoor sowing of photoperiod plants?
Thanks for the tip about silicate, @SouthGermanGrowGirl

Kushycat Unfortunately, I found aphids... πΏ
I sprayed them with Canna Cure and hope that will kill them. Otherwise, there are no real signs of flowering yet.
But it should start soon, I'm excited.
Today, I added nematodes to the watering can so that no more pesky guests will appear until harvest time.

Kushycat So far, so good, but unfortunately no real flowers to be seen yet.
Pre-flowering is definitely already underway and the first filaments will surely appear in a few days.
Unfortunately, I found a few aphids and sprayed them again with Cann Cure.
I removed the lower leaves and buds and fertilized a little, as usual.
In addition, they have received their first dose of RQS Bloom, which unfortunately is not listed here.

Kushycat They have hardly grown at all, just a little bit in width, but otherwise they finally seem to be flowering.
Well, if you count on another 6-8 weeks from now, mold or something else is bound to happen.
I will probably order my indoor setup in the next few days and then put them in the tent.
I know that it's not easy to bring plants in from outside because of the risk of insects, etc., but at least I could harvest a little something to make some delicious butter or something.
I got rid of the aphids with Cannacure, but otherwise the weather is pretty bad. Lots of rain and storms last night and just too cold.

It's supposed to get a little warmer at the weekend, and I hope it stays that way for at least a few weeks.

Kushycat The weather is terrible. Much too cold and wet.
I water as needed with a slight runoff so that the mini flowers don't get moldy.
I also use flower fertilizer from RQS Nutrients 2ml/l, which unfortunately is still not listed.
Hello @James :P
I cut off the micro flowers and small leaves at the bottom.

Kushycat They'll definitely be ready by Christmas
I sprayed Fungisan again to prevent rot, etc.
Now they have to stand for at least another 7 days.
Well, starting next week, it's supposed to be 5 degrees at night, so it'll be really difficult.

Kushycat They both have a strong will to survive. I hadn't watered them for almost a week and, to be honest, I've only checked on them briefly over the last few days. Yesterday, I sprayed them with CannaCure in preparation for bringing them indoors. Before they die outside, I'll take my chances.
CannaCure is a spray, but unfortunately you can only specify ml/L etc. here, so the amount I specified is incorrect.
I didn't feed them either, which I will do in a few days when I water them next as a final fertilizer application.
The flowers are small and can hardly withstand a little frost, but what can you expect after weeks of gray, bad weather?
I can't give a fair assessment because I started too late in the outdoor season.
I haven't weighed it. Unfortunately, I had to cut away some buds due to bud rot.

Kushycat Unfortunately, with seeds/micro seeds due to self-pollination. Therefore, it is used to make butter or delicious cakes!
@India_Calcoen, i think they were supposed to turn yellow, but there was only one pepper on the bush. My gardening year was a complete disaster, just like my personal year. It didn't change color at all. I waited for weeks, but it just stayed purple. I ate it with grilled cheese, and at least it tasted good. I think it wanted to match the color of the gelato44 and that's why it stayed purple. Damn... I should have photographed the two together.
@India_Calcoen, A tomato plant that can sometimes be seen in the Apple Fritter Diary didn't grow at all at first. My sunflowers didn't want to grow properly either, and a few other mutants ^^
