I'm at week 9 now and the buds that I can see are small... There not really changing as the weeks progress. I've been feeding as usuall as these plants don't seem to be near harvest yet. What can I do? I'm due to get a 36w 5500k bulb in. Is it light? He long to harvest?
well, only more light is more light. what i want to say... in this stage of grow, its good to have 35k....They look quiet good, you can finish the grow with your smaller lights, but having more "good spectrum" light, brings you more yield. its a good place for her so she get extra daylight too. i think she will need minimum 3 more weeks , happy flowering time
This plant is jus over 9 weeks now . The buds seem small but there is alot of trichomes and sugary leaves can't see buds yet tho and that's my concern.. I've been told I should wait around 3 weeks more. What are going to be the signs that tell me I'm totally done ready to harvest
the only way to be sure your plant is ready is to take a microscope or a big scope 30x and inspect the trichome if they are all cloudy and some start to turn amber you can cut your plant (best is to put her in the dark for 48h and then cut her)
If you see you trichome all transparent then you can wait
last tip go see some pics of trichomes on google it will help you lot of video on youtube explain and show how to do it
Yes mate trial and error. Weather hasn't been great either and been out of the home for around 2weeks now but make daily trips to check up etc. Yes I'm hoping for a decent yield off this.
You look to be 3 to 5 weeks away yet. Get yourself an electronic microscope that you can hookup to your phone or tablet. There are many available on line. Then you can look at the trichomes and capture photos. The trichs start clear, then turn cloudy (milky), then amber, then die off. So you need to decide at what point in the trichomes life you will harvest. Different people like different amounts of cloudy/amber trichomes depending on wether they like more of a cereberal high or a high that leans more toward couchlock. I personally like to avoid the couchlock effect, so my last harvest was mostly cloudy trichs, with about 10% amber. So your harvest time is a personal preference, that you need to decide depending on your desired effects.Good luck with your grow. That main cola is a sky rocket, lol.
Wauw that plant looks tall. I think maybe you'll need more light for your next grow so the plants don't stretch that much. Other then that looking pretty nice.
Yes bro it's now 90cm tall into week 7 . I grew 2 plants the other one jus failed to grow past week 3 so that's just for my tea π. But yeh I kept the lights way too high in the first few weeks and that's why they stretched but yeh going strong now
@Ninety1, I was told that they're most potent when they're just cloudy. So just before they turn amber. Dunno if it makes that much of a difference tbh.
@Adrenalized, I see alot of clear trichomes so I know it's got some time left. I've read it should be around 70 -80% orangey brown but yeh it's like a wormhole of info on the internet all conflicting but I've just learnt as if gone on knew I would be able to just go with the flow
@Ninety1, well for a first time it's pretty decent I think considering everything. If you can make some progress each grow you'll get good Quality yields soon enough. Trial and error π and I think you're supposed to harvest as soon as you see all the trychomes are cloudy, but not too much amber. Dunno how they look right now on your plant? And I haven't really seen it myself so ..
I love your grow room! You even got a bed for your ladies! Lol. But seriously she looks amazing. And love the diverse lighting set up. Is that a quantum board uptop or some other led?
