CountDoobie A bit of pre-info: This is my first grow ever and I only discovered GrowDiaries when I was already about 5 weeks in. Although I have kept a personal grow report from the start, I didn't take any pictures until the end of the 5th week. ------------------------------------------------------ For the substrate I wanted organic soil with perlite and vermiculite mixed in. Both perlite and vermiculite came in 6L bags. The soil I'm using is Pokon Bio peat-free potting soil with an NPK 10-4-4, and 2kg/m3 organic fertilizer. Since I'm using 19L (5gal) fabric pots, I split the perlite and vermiculite in 4 equal parts and mixed it through the soil in each pot. This means that each pot has approx. 15L organic peat-free soil + 1.5L perlite + 1.5L vermiculite. I came a little short on the soil for the 4th pot so I mixed approx. 3L-5L cheap supermarket potting soil in (NPK 14-16-18, 1kg/m3 fertilizer). After I mixed all, I gave the pots a thorough watering, which was in hindsight not the best idea since it compacted the soil quite a bit. Since I'll be using Biotabs I will only give plain tab water that is not PH corrected. The tap water is quite high quality here, with not a lot of chlorine in it (4.4mg/L). Therefore I will water my plants straight from the tap. This means no letting it breathe or anything else. ------------------------------------------------------ 28/05/2025 All 4 seeds are put directly in soil in their final container to germinate. A transparent cup is put on top to keep the humidity high. 31/05/2025 All 4 pots got a little bit of water around (not directly on) the seeding location. 01/06/2025 All 4 plants have successfully germinated. One plant had the seed membrane stuck to it's leaves and stretched a tiny bit because of it. This will be counted as the start of week 1.

CountDoobie 02/06/2025 All 4 plants received a little bit of water, about 120ml. One of the plants has a white spot in (not on) one of the cotyledon. I suspect it to be something genetic. 03/06/2025 Removed the cups from the plants. 04/06/2025 The plants received about 250ml each. One plant is growing significantly faster than the rest. 05/06/2025 Added a damp towel to the tent, which increased the RH to 70% (before 45%). All plants halted their growth a bit and lost a little colour. My first thought is that I over watered them. 06/06/2025 All plants seem to have regained a tiny bit of colour. Still not much growth.

CountDoobie 08/06/2025 P1, P3 and P4 seem to have recovered a bit and started growing again. P2 has slightly bigger leaves than P1 and P2, but P3's leaves are quite pale/yellow. P4 has a developed 2nd node and is sprouting the next. P1, P2 and P3 appear to be sprouting their 2nd node. 09/06/2025 P1, P2 and P3 got more pale. P4 is doing well. 10/06/2025 P1 and P3 have gotten their colour back an appear to be recovering well. P2 is still quite pale/yellow, but appears to be recovering as well. P4 is growing fast and looks really well. I think P4 entered the vegetative phase. 11/06/2025 P1 is still not growing, but appears to still be regaining colour. P2 appears to be getting better and is regaining green in it's leaves. This plant has the biggest chance of recovery of the three affected. P3 is looking bad. It has dark spots on it's leaves and doesn't look like it's going to make it. P4 is looking really well and is growing fast. It is already developing its 3th node. 12/06/2025 P1-P3 appear to be recovering. P4 is doing really well. The first 5-fingered leaves are growing and the 1st node has started branching. Plants haven't been watered since 04/06/2025 and even P4 doesn't need any water. This confirms that I definitely over watered them. 13/06/2025 P1-P3 have started to develop new growth, which appears to look healthy. I started LST on P4 by placing support where the stem enters the soil, to prevent it from pulling out. The plant is bent over the support with a hook that is stuck in the soil. 14/06/2025 P4 has received its first Biotab, pushed approx. 5cm deep in the soil, halfway between the plant and the rim of the pot.

CountDoobie 15/06/2025 P1-P3 received approx. 200ml water. P4 received approx. 400ml water. 17/06/2025 P1-P3 received 0.5L water. P4 received 1L water. 19/06/2025 The first 3cm of soil were dried out, so I watered the plants again. P1-P3 received 1L. P4 received 2L. 22/06/2025 P1-P3 haven't really grown that much and are starting to get yellow leaves again. P2 even has necrosis in its leaves (grey spots). P4 is doing really well and is growing fast. Its main stem is approx. 30cm long. P4 received its second biotab, mirrored to the previous one. This time I first dug a hole approx. 3cm deep and pusched the tab to approx. 5cm deep. With the previous tab I didn't dig the hole first and had a hard time pushing the tab deep enough, probably compacting the soil quite a bit beneath it. A few fan leaves were removed to improve light penetration. P4 received 2L of water.

CountDoobie 23/06/2025 P1-P3 have been terminated. These plants were stunted so badly that it probably would be a waste of the biotabs. P4 will be the only plant going forward. 25/06/2025 Received 2L of water. Stopped defoliating because I suspect the plant will transition to flowering this week. 28/06/2025 Accidentally damaged the main stem during LST. A small horizontal break about 1/6 of the circumference of the main stem. A tiny drop of fluid came out. I braced the stem and put a bit of superglue on the outside and halted further LST. The first pistils have appeared. 29/06/2025 The damage to the main stem appears to have recovered fully.

CountDoobie 30/06/2025 The damage to the main stem is fully recovered. When applying gentle pressure, the break doesn't seem to move. Pistils are developing fast and indicate that the plant is transitioning to flowering. Gave 1L of plain water + 1L Rhizobacter solution (1gr/L). 03/07/2025 After finding a few leaves that were partially eaten, I started an insecticide treatment of soda/soap solution. 1 tablespoon of soda (sodium bicarbonate) + 1/2 teaspoon of green soap + 4.5L of plain tap water. Applied to the top and bottom of the leaves with a spray bottle, at the start of the night cycle. Watered with 2L of plain tap water. 04/07/2025 Continued the treatment. Same method as before. 05/07/2025 Last day of treatment. Same method as before. 06/07/2025 At the start of the night cycle, I put towels over the soil to prevent water from dripping in to the soil and I thoroughly sprayed down the leaves with plain tap water to remove any residue on the leaves from the previous treatment. I have completely redone the LST to create an even canopy. Watered the plant with 2L of plain tap water.

CountDoobie 07/07/2025 The plant is reacting very well to the new LST and has a nice even canopy. Some of the fan leaves stems are getting a purple colour. I suspect that this is because of the sudden drop in temperature last few days (23C/24C instead of the 27C/28C from before). 09/07/2025 Found new leaves that were eaten again and in hindsight was the insecticide treatment from before kind of pointless, since this is most likely damage from caterpillars. After inspecting the plant three times from top to bottom, I haven't found any culprit. Because of this I've bought some Bacillus thuringiensis spray (caterpillar insecticide) and treated the plant with it at the start of the night cycle. 10/07/2025 Watered the plant with 2L of plain tap water. Found no new damaged leaves. 13/07/2025 The upper fan leaves started to get slightly burned leaf tips (barely visible). I adjusted the grow light to approx. 28cm from the highest point of the plant. approx. 400-450 ppfd, measured with photone on a google pixel 7.

CountDoobie 14/07/2025 Gave 1L of water + 1L Rhizobacter solution (1gr/L). 17/07/2025 Due to circumstances had to temporarily relocate the grow tent, but the plant doesn't seem stressed by it. 18/07/2025 Gave 2L of water. The plant is developing quite a few buds. Some pistils are getting a little amber at the tips. 19/07/2025 Due to temporarily relocating the grow tent, the lights have accidentally been hung at approx. 20cm. Because of the light stress the upper fan leaves have started to curl upwards slightly. Adjusted the height to 25cm. 20/07/2025 The leaves have recovered fully and the plant is looking really healthy. The buds are developing really well and are thickening everyday. The smell is increasing as well, but due to the carbon filter there is no smell outside of the grow tent. Did some light defoliation to improve light penetration and airflow. I have to say, I'm quite pleased with the biotabs. The plant hasn't shown any deficiency and has healthy dark green leaves. I wanted a low effort nutrition and watering strategy and Biotabs didn't disappoint.

CountDoobie 21/07/2025 Gave 2L of water, but could have probably waited a day longer before watering. Removed a few fan leaves that were blocking light to lower bud sites and removed older leaves that had yellowed. Removed a few bud sites (popcorn buds) at the very bottom of the plant. (only the ones with very few pistils). 23/07/2025 After reading about a few ruined harvest due to hermaphroditic plants, checked the plant thoroughly for ''bananas'' but haven't found any. First trichomes are showing on the sugar leaves. 24/07/2025 The upper leaves were showing early signs of light stress (curling leave edges). Raised the light to approx. 28cm. 25/07/2025 Gave 2L of water. Trichomes are developing slower than expected. Put the oscillating fan on the second speed (highest). 27/07/2025 Trichomes are developing faster than first thought. The sugar leaves are starting to fill up nicely with trichomes. The buds are bulking rather slowly.
