weedoxX 24.07.2025 My first grow in many years and I decided to go with the VGrow from Vivosun. The tent arrived on Wednesday and was of course set up immediately. The Kawazaki seeds cost me €45 for 2, so I'm going to try to germinate just one seed first. If the first one doesn't pop, I have a second chance. Since the tent only has room for one plant anyway, it would be a shame to dispose of the second one. I don't have any time pressure, which makes things a lot easier. So, the first seed was soaked in tap water at 11 PM and placed in the dark tent. Now it's just a waiting game! The next update will follow as soon as there's something new, whether positive or negative! Peace 26.07.2025 2 days later, the seed has opened and you can clearly see that the Kawazaki wants to dive into the soil at full speed! That's how it should be, so I fill a small pot with Growphoria's Light Mix and plant the seed. In the tent, I just need to activate germination in the soil and the LED lamp lights up. I plugged in the Vivosun humidifier at the USB port and identified it in the app, and now the setup is on 18/6 and all parameters are kept in the green zone automatically. So far, I'm totally excited. The next update will be in a week! Peace

weedoxX 29.07.25 - The baby Kawazaki sees the world and stretches towards the light. At this point, the LED was set to 60% light output with a lighting schedule of 18/6. The humidifier will mostly ensure that a relative humidity of 70% is maintained. Watering is done with tap water - pH adjusted to about 6. 04.08.2025 - The first pair of leaves is here. Now it’s a waiting game until the second pair of leaves develops so that we can increase the light output. Watering continues with tap water adjusted to pH, but now with 0.5ml of Calmag from BioBizz to balance the Cal/Mag ratio of the tap water. 07.08.2025 - We did it! The plant now has enough leaf area it needs to get started. Light output set to 80% - ventilation on, humidity down to 50%, and let’s go! Since the pot weight has also significantly decreased, it’s getting a good amount of water from the top and bottom. I’m curious to see when the pot will be fully rooted so it can be repotted. Conclusion of the first week after germination: The VGrow tent is really interesting! The app immediately alerts me when the humidity or temperature is off. This way, I can react right away. When my humidifier briefly ran dry, I got an immediate VPD warning, and I knew I had to act. Overall, the app is very informative with charts about the past days and tips on when to do what. I’m really excited about the further progress and can’t wait for the automatic watering, as I’ve never worked with such a system before. See you next week! Peace

weedoxX The second week has gone pretty well so far. The repotting was supposed to make my work easier with the automatic watering, but it didn’t go as expected. The watering is done through the base plate and should provide the plant with enough moisture. I can imagine it will get better once the pot is well-rooted... currently, though, it often droops its leaves and I have to add about a liter of water. Additionally, the whole week has been very warm, so I had temperatures of 32 degrees in the tent at times and a correspondingly poor VPD value. By the weekend, I decided to top the plant to allow it to become bushier. I’m excited to see the plant grow and hope for cooler temperatures again! See you next week Peace

weedoxX We are in the third week and not much has happened. All six shoots are about evenly developed and have been tied down with plant wire and roughly positioned. Watering is now only 200ml a day, the rest comes from the automatic watering platform from Vivosun. Let's patiently wait and see what happens! Peace

weedoxX Just like after a stressful workday, my Kawazaki needed a bit of rest to recover! I left her completely alone and gave her about 200ml of water daily. You can clearly see how the shoots are stretching evenly towards the light and the plant is slowly getting bushy. That's how it should be. Whether I will top her again or not is still undecided. I'm just observing what happens and will decide spontaneously. If you have any advice, feel free to share! Cheers to this beautiful grow tent that has really settled in my living room. I'm still excited to see how everything develops and will keep you updated! Peace!

weedoxX A lot of work, little sleep, and the fifth week is over! You can see 6 shoots that are slowly but surely going into pre-flowering. Somehow I feel the urge to send them into flowering now, but it wouldn't be nearly as nice compared to what's coming next. The topping went so well on the first run that I'm starting a second attempt and topping all 6 shoots again. We'll have to wait and see if and how good this idea was and is. However, I had this thought from the very beginning, and I couldn't hold back from really filling the tent. Today, the GrowCam from Vivosun arrived, which allows me to take a look inside the tent from anywhere. Do you need that? Probably not. Could I stop myself from buying it and installing it right away? - Of course not. Now off to the weekend, see you next week and... Peace!

weedoxX The last week of vegetation is complete, and with excitement, the LED was switched to 12/12 yesterday. So, I’m wrapping up this week with the pictures taken up to today. You can clearly see that the tent has filled up nicely, and I’m already happy with the decision to top one more time. Maybe in the next run, I’ll even top a third time and extend the veg time by 1-2 weeks. Even though it doesn’t matter right now, those are the thoughts I’ll carry into the next grow. But now I announce the flowering period and I’m happy with the current result. How much more the plant will be worked on? That’s still up in the air. Right now, I’m concerned about the humidity, which has risen to 70% at times. That’s not too bad for now... but completely unacceptable for flowering. I’ve already ordered a dehumidifier and will present it next week with the update of the first flowering week. Here’s to a nice stretch and big buds! Peace

weedoxX Branches, more branches, and even more branches! In total, around 40 branches can be counted after the first week of flowering. Accordingly, it got pretty full in the tent. The humidity was no longer manageable due to the exhaust system, which is why a dehumidifier had to be brought in. With the new device, I was able to keep the humidity below 60% this week, mostly around 50%; which I am absolutely satisfied with. The stretch is currently still manageable, and the branches are sprouting from the Kawazaki in all directions. With the trellis net, it’s getting increasingly difficult to reach everywhere, and since I obviously can’t turn the plant, I decided to carry out the first defoliation and the first lollipopping. All branches that are not at least at the height of the net will be removed. In total, 20 branches remain and are expected to stay until the end. - So that’s the result of the training in the six weeks of veg. When looking down at the plant from above, it already looks massive, and I’m excited for all the buds that will soon grow there. With the new grow cam, I can check the tent from anywhere and see if any intervention is necessary. The automatic watering combined with living soil as a medium is now running on its own! Overall, there have been no problems so far, and the plant is vital and strong. The canopy is now illuminated with 100 watts (100%) - the buds can come! I think the tent is nearly perfectly filled; let’s see how it goes! -Peace

weedoxX The second week of flowering has gone smoothly without any further issues. The humidity can consistently be kept at 45-55%, which I'm happy with and can sleep soundly. The investment in the dehumidifier has definitely paid off. Unfortunately, some shoots didn't make it and are just resting below the net. However, since I want to take this as an experience, I'll keep them and see how the buds develop in the shadow of the larger shoots. I'll wait another week before defoliating. Then I'll make sure all the buds get even light and everything is well-ventilated. The stretch is going as planned and expected so far. I'm curious how far the Kawazaki will go, as space in the tent is obviously quite limited. So far, I don't see any problems that would require me to intervene. I'm very satisfied and look forward to checking the tent daily to observe the progress! 🙌 Until next week, Peace!

weedoxX The third week of flowering is done, and the formation of the buds is a beautiful sight to behold. There have been no complications again, and everything is going according to plan. The stretch of the Kawazaki seems to be almost over, and there’s no danger of the light distance becoming too short. I should have trained some branches better to have them all at the same height, but as mentioned before, I’ll take that as a learning curve into the next grow. Soon it will show how well the Livingsoil can nourish a plant with a pot volume of only 11 liters. I haven’t discovered any pests to this day, which makes me very happy. We'll have to wait and see if everything continues to go according to plan. The tough times are just beginning... the nutrient consumption is increasing, and the plant is still only getting pH-regulated tap water. I’m curious to see how it goes... Peace!

weedoxX The worries from last week are catching up with me. The leaves are turning purple, which was to be expected since the strain is Purpelt, but there's also a clear phosphorus deficiency visible. Even though I didn't really want to fertilize, come what may, I spontaneously decided to mix a cocktail that will go into the water tank just this once. I'm expecting another 3 weeks until harvest. A single fertilization should be enough since the Kawazaki is otherwise looking very good. The roots are reaching into the water tank, which surprised me a bit. I can imagine that this could cause problems since the plant won't be getting any nutrients from the soil anymore. But I can't really complain. The leaves are turning purple at a stage where phosphorus doesn't play a big role anymore. Once again, we'll have to wait and see what happens, but the anticipation for the harvest is growing! Next update after the end of week 5 of flowering! Peace!

weedoxX It's getting more colorful in the tent. The 5th week of flowering is complete, and the pictures were taken on flower day 40. According to the breeder, 55 flowering days are planned. So we can expect at least 2 more weeks. We'll have to wait and see what happens :) Peace

weedoxX Flower day 55, the plant looks beautiful. The Kawazaki has pushed its roots through the pot into the water tank. I don't know yet how to prevent this in the next grow. For now, I hope it doesn't have any effects since this root strand is now torn. For the last bit of time, I will water by hand as a precaution. I think one more week until harvest. Peace

weedoxX Flowering day 63, the humidity is rising daily and the dehumidifier can't keep up anymore. Since the Kawazaki is drooping every day anyway, I've started the harvest. Pictures of the harvest will follow. The entire harvest will be trimmed and dried in Dryferm Bags in the tent. The smells are really exotic and pleasant. Peace!

The buds are beautifully fruity and very firm. Overall visually appealing and of high quality. The drying in the Dryferm bags worked well. Next, the DWC kit will be installed and the second seed of the Kawazaki will then be a hydro grow. Peace
